Such A Lovely Way To Start My Day

November 16, 2016

Good morning.  Tis a lovely Autumn day here in my little part of New England.  Temps are in the mid 50's and the sun will pop in and out most of the day.  This is good because  I have an appointment this afternoon with my eye doctor.  I would love to get a new pair of glasses.  The pair that I'm wearing are almost as old as I am.  haha.

This morning I found a beautiful surprise in my email box.  My friend Beth made a beautiful scrap layout for me.  I love it, Beth.  Thank you.  It put a huge smile on my face to start my day.

Well, yesterday was a busy day for me.  I was feeling rather creative, and finished my bracelets that I need for Christmas.  I just have to pick up one more bracelet box, and then wrap all of them.  Then last evening I spent almost three hours on my laptop creating a new quick page.

Why does it take me so long to make a quick page?  Well, when I get an idea in my head, I sometimes spend a very long time trying to change the elements to match my idea.  It took me a couple hours just to figure out how to put my little Zlata's broken elbow in a sling.  First I had to find a sling that would fit her.  Then I had to break her little arm and rearrange it to fit in the sling.  Not to worry folks.  She'll be just fine in a few weeks.

Maybe today on the way home from my appointment, I can stop and pick up another skein of the yarn that I need to finish the turquoise afghan.  Meanwhile, the flamingo afghan is coming along nicely.  I have only sixty two more rows to go and this one will be finished too.

Goodness, my arms and hands are beginning to look as though I've been beat up.  The bruising is covering a much larger area than it did on Saturday.  Even the palm of one hand is turning purple.  The aches are lasting longer now too.  Hopefully this means that everything is healing.

Next week is Thanksgiving already!!!  I will have to go grocery shopping this weekend and pick up a turkey.  It's not that I'm crazy for turkey.  I'm not.  But I do love turkey salad.  So, I cook my bird, let it cool, and then shred it all apart.  I bag it in amounts that are just right for salads, and freeze it.  Of course, Pogo and I will have a meal or two from it too.

Well, that's my news for today.  Now I have some dishes waiting to be washed.  This is a bit tricky, but Pogo can't reach the sink to do this so I'll just take my time and hopefully get them all clean.  On that happy note, I'll take my leave.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh no, I missed the post about your elbow. I just hate to fall. I'm glad you didn't hit your head or hip. Elbow is bad enough. My daughter broke her's when she was 6. A sling but didn't move it for 6 weeks. She had a hard time getting it to bend afterwards. That's probably why you can move it some. Be careful though.

Are you able to drive in your car for that appointment??? Isn;t that a bit tricky?
Well, I am sure you know what you can do, so good luck with it, but be careful!!
h yes, your arm will color in about all colors of the rainbow, that's for sure. That isn;t the worst thing, the aching it can do isn;t great, is it? Hopefully that will disappear real soon.
I am late this morning because I opened my blog and got aome kind of notification of Blogger about the EU cookie law and such. I read about it, didn;t understand a lot of it, just hope that all goes as it should. Seems that blogger already put on a bar for consent of cookies, at the least for the EU.
Well, really time now to make a blogpost and then perhaps get a little bit busy here, don;t know yet.
Have a wonderful day, even with that sore arm, take care, be careful, give that arm lots of rest!!
