How Different Nature Is One Year From Another

November 17, 2016

Good morning.  Tis a bit dreary outside this morning.  The temperature is 51F degrees, and will probably reach the mid 50's later on.  I would rather stay indoors today, but I do have to go out this afternoon for a semi-annual check up with my regular doctor.

Have any of you with a blog noticed a difference?  There is a notice on my blog that says the "http" in my address has changed to "https" and I think it has to do with security.  Not really sure.  I shall look it up later on Google.

My cell phone is weird today too.  There's a black circle with an "x" in it on my screen.  I don't know what it is about, and it makes it difficult to text, as it gets in the way of the letters.  I'll have to call Best Buy later to find out what it is all about.  I would call now, but they don't open for another half hour.

A couple days ago, while it was raining, I noticed that most all the leaves had fallen from my Red Japanese Maple tree.  The ground below it was covered in bright red leaves.  It was sooo pretty that I grabbed my phone to take a few photos.  This is the view from my porch.  (leaning over the gate)

I went into my archives and found this photo (of the same tree) taken four years ago on November 19th.  It still had all of its leaves.  Amazing how each year is so different.

Quite a difference, huh?  I guess the same can be said about the flowers.  Some years they are still blooming the beginning of December, and other years they are not.  Right now, there are still a few petunias blooming, as well as some of my roses.  Not many though, just enough to show a bit of color.

Some of my favorite old re-run programs on TV have been changed, so I've had to go looking for another channel with old programs.  I found one called "MeTV".  This morning I've been watching an old episode of Perry Mason.  This program was one of my favorites in its day.  Next up will be "Matlock," another great old program.

Ah well, I have a few things to do before I get ready for my appointment, so I'd best get busy.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

Your pictures are really gorgeous. It is strange how Nature does actually. Very unpredictable. But the colors of your Japanese Maple is gorgeous, and the ground so red as well. It is just beautiful.

So how did your eye appointment go? I hope that you could get some new glasses, and I hope that your doctor appointment this afternoon went well.

That was Jonathan banging on the door when you and I were on the phone. I had locked the dead bolt on the door and he couldn't get in. He brought me a plate from his luncheon. Oh my gosh how wonderful it was. No cooking for me tonight.

I did notice on my blog the change of the word descriptions that you mentioned. I am not really sure what that is about but something I think about cookies. I don't understand that either. As for your phone, that really throws me. I am not sure what that is either. Hopefully you can find some answers.

Cisco is wanting to go out so I will talk with you later, have a great evening. Love, Cisco and Beth

My www address has changed too in https, but if you type in http you get the website also I too think it is about security and when you put your mousetip on the lock there it says it is verified by Google
Well, all that stuff about cookies and new regulatiosn and change of things doesn;t alwways makes me happy.
It is every year a surprise how nature will unfold itself, is it? I too still have some flowers in my garden, most of them are dahlia's, of course blooming is kind of ending but it looks nice.
Soon I will have to dig up the bulbs and put them away for next year
Hope the doctor's appointment went well and smoothly and that you have an answer about your phone too. am a complete zero-dummy about cellphone, so I cannot help you in that
May be you can stay indoors today, to take some rest for your arm????
Anyway, have a wonderful day, cuddle to Pogo,
Hug
Kyra
