Woo Hoo! A Wee Bit Of Sunshine For Us Today!

October 3, 2016

Good morning.  There's a wee bit of sunshine out there today.  It keeps hiding behind clouds, but I know it's there because I saw it!  Oo oo, there it is again!  Could be it's going to come out and stay out for a while today.  That would be super because we haven't seen any sunshine for a few days now.

My little Pogo is in a rather good mood.  For breakfast, I warmed up his left over hamburger from last night's supper, and broke up a couple pieces of bacon to sprinkle over the hamburg.  It must have tasted pretty good because he ate every last sniff on his plate.

It's rather quiet around here.  My cold/bug is pretty much out of my system, but I have no energy to speak of.  I had wanted to go out this morning, but instead I stayed under the covers as long as I could.  Pogo finally decided that we really should eat breakfast before it was noon time.

Yesterday afternoon, SIL Eddie came by and brought me a gorgeous bouquet of roses.  Aren't they beautiful?  They're a light cream color, almost white with a pink tinge, and some dark rose around the edge of the outer petals.

While he was here, Eddie changed a lock on one of the bedroom doors, and cleaned off my ceiling fan.  I could have cleaned the fan, but I'm not the best person to be standing on a little ladder without a wall nearby to hold on to.  So thank you Eddie.  I'm so lucky to have you as family.

Last night, I decided to work on the afghan again.  First I had to rip out almost two rows to fix the mistake that I had found.  Once that was done, I then put the rows back on.  I did not get very far when I found that there had been two mistakes, not one, several stitches apart.  Yup, it's "rip it out" time again!   Before I put the afghan down for the night, I had managed to get all my rows back on plus four more rows.

I found a useful little nugget on the web and thought I'd share it here with you.  Every pet owner should have these numbers close by (or in) their phone.

I still have lots of shredding to do so maybe I'll get started on that now.  As long as magazines, catalogues and junk mail keep coming, I'll be busy running the shredder.  I should probably set one day a week aside for this chore.  Then maybe I would keep up with it.

Ah well, I think I'll get dressed now and perhaps Pogo and I can find some fun mischief to get into.  My shooting instructor has opened a new gun shop, so maybe we can take a ride by there to check it out.  Hmmm, we'll see.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Beautiful roses they are! Eddie is always so nice and gives you a helping hand. Great guy.
wow, you did stay long under the covers, but why not? Every now and then a women needs to do that LOL!
I also wanted I had some more energy and determination to get some things done at the moment I think they need to be done. Don't know if it is just me, or perhaps also the approach of autumn/winter time?
I should go out now to do some grocerie shopping and this afternoon I;ll have the test in hospital, just take about 15 minutes.
So I better try and eat a sandwich and then go to the supermarket
Have a wonderful day.
