This Weather Is Awesome

September 2, 2016

Good morning.  It's a gorgeous day here.  Our forecast is for a whole week of temps in the 70's before it gets warmer again.  I can totally dig this!!!  These are ideal year round temps.  Of course I know that does not happen here, but a girl can dream, right?

I guess this is going to a busy day.  Cliff is outside scraping and painting, and in a little while someone from the glass company is supposed to be here to ..............................

Yup, as I was typing, the truck pulled into the driveway.  Well, the fellow has finished measuring everything, and is leaving now.  Someone will call me with a price.  Hmmm, I can't wait to hear what it will be.

Yesterday was awesome.  It rained lightly most of the day.  I have to say that it felt really good.  Every now and then the rain would stop for a little while, so I tossed out some bread and peanuts for the birds and critters.   Here's a few of them enjoying the goodies.

There were also a pair of cardinals, two mourning doves, a blackbird and an assortment of sparrows in this mix.  Then I noticed a puddle way across the yard where there was a little sparrow enjoying a bath.

While Pogo and I were sitting on the porch watching all the activity, there was a squirrel sitting on a branch in the Japanese Red Maple tree.  He was chatting really loud at me.  Hmmm, I'm not sure what I did to make him so angry, but he was sort of cute to watch.  This photo was taken through the porch screen.

I did not do the laundry yesterday as I had planned to do, so that will have to be done today.  However, I did make it to the supermarket to pick up some groceries.  The only thing I forgot to get was a jar of onion dip for my bag of potato chips.  Ah well, I guess I really don't need the chips.

Well that's my news for this morning.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Once in a while a little bit cooler can be great. At night it seemed to have rained a bit, later today it will stay dry(they say) so that will be good for me, because i have to walk the doggies from Heidi.
I don;t mind so much, as long as it is dry and not too cold LOL.
Let's hope the guy from the glass panels will come up with a decent price and a good solution for the screens.
I did do the laundry yesterday, perhaps tomorrow it will be ready enugh for ironing, may be. It's supposed to be a autumn like day tomorrow, with wind and rain and temps around 18-19C, not all to nice, so perhaps good for the ironing.
The last few weeks I almost don't see any parakeets around anymore I wonder where they hide this time of year. I do hope they come back in autumn, they are really fun to watch.
Have a lovely day
Hug

Hi Edna,
I am home now and finally caught up reading your blog! I missed not reading it. I am glad that I didn't take my computer to my daughters house. She had her internet and cable turned off as they were going to move, but have decided to stay a couple more months or at least to the end of this month. Her surgery went better than expected. Now we just have to wait on the results from the pathology department to come in and she will see her doctor again on Wednesday.

Gorgeous photos! Of course I love all of them. Pogo of course is just too cute. I am so glad that the bee decided to land on your bush!

I need to go to bed. It is 4:30 am. I went to bed too early last night and woke up at midnight and couldn't go back to sleep but I am feeling tired now so I think that a few more hours of sleep will be welcome. Take care and much love from Cisco and Me........ Beth
