Enjoy Each And Every Day. They Are Gifts.

September 11, 2016

Good morning.  Tis cool and gray outside with a delightful breeze.  Both flags are gently waving, what can I say?  It's a gorgeous morning.  It feels like it could rain, so I looked it up on Google.  One site says there's a slight chance we could get a few showers, and another site says there's an 80% chance we'll have heavy thundershowers.  I'm not sure who to believe, but a bit of rain will feel ever so nice.

Yesterday was sunny and warm most of the day.  I was talking on the phone and when I looked up I saw raindrops falling off the porch roof.  Oh my gosh, this is great!  I told my friend that it was finally raining.  When I got off the phone, I went out on the porch to see if we got much water and everything was dry.  No puddles, nothing wet.  Are you kidding?  Did it rain, or was I wishing it so much that it really looked like rain?

Friday afternoon, after school, daughter Deanne came by and we went to the shooting range for our practice lesson.  I must say, we enjoyed ourselves very much.  We practiced with three different guns, and this is the one that I did the best with.

These are my two best target sheets.  Deanne did very well too.  That old saying "Practice makes perfect" still holds true.  On the top sheet, my first shot went off the paper, then I concentrated and all the rest went right to the middle.  Our next practice class is next Friday afternoon.

Today I have some new piles of magazines and newspapers to go through and put out in the recycle bin.  These things seem to pile up really fast when I am not paying attention.  I guess that will be my big project for today.

My niece had a stroke recently and is in the hospital, not doing very well at all.  Her life saving equipment has been turned off, and everyone has said their goodbyes.  Now it is just a matter of time.  This is so sad.  She is very young and will be leaving behind a husband and three small children.  Folks, tomorrow is not guaranteed.  It's a gift.  So hug your loved ones and let them know how much you love them while you can.

Now I'm off to find some mischief to get into with my partner in crime, Pogo.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,
Sorry no real rain for you yesterday. I guess we will just have to wait and see if you get some of the real stuff today. It poured here for over an hour. I felt so blessed but I know that our trees, wildlife and the rest of our nature really enjoyed it a lot more!

I am so very sorry to hear of your niece passing away. How very sad. It is so hard to hear of a young person passing and those with little children, it seems much harder. I will be thinking of you during this sad time.

You did very well with your target shooting practice. I am really glad that you and your daughter are enjoying the lessons. Friday will be here before you know it. Time has a way of flying right on by.

Cisco got a birthday card yesterday from Pogo! Oh My... He was super excited as he could smell Pogo on it and he sniffed and sniffed... especially the part where Pogo must have licked the envelope! We set it up on the stand next to his side of the bed so he can think of his friend thru out the days! He says Thank You very much....

Well I took my bed completely apart yesterday, washed and cleaned it all. Then I began packing. My son said we still have some time to wait. So typical of a male. I told him that I wasn't going to wait until the last minute. I packed 7 boxes, washed my daughters blanket that she left here and put it away, bagged up some books that her boyfriend wanted, and found some of her odds and ends as I cleaned. I really enjoyed my sleep. Cisco on the other hand was not liking the new clean smell very much. He had to roll and toss all over the bed until he put his scent back on it. Cisco has an aversion to soap and water!

The weather is changing. Not so much in temps even tho it is a little cooler, it is still hot here. But the leaves are falling and yesterday I watched as they did their final dance. I do love the autumn, but I love the rebirth of spring too. The birds were really talking yesterday after the rain. I love the sound that they make as they sing and chirp and then the bats last night were really out. I am so thankful for them. I know that they really help with our mosquito control.

Time for me to get moving. I want to make sure that I have as much done today as possible. I am going with Jonathan to the grocery store in a little while, so I need to get dressed. Have a wonderful day! xx Beth and Cisco

Sorry you didn;t have some more rain we had some yesterday night, but this week I fear we will have to water the garden one or two times for sure. Expecting hight temps and lot of sunshine
You did very well at the shotooting practice!

Sad news about your niece passing away, and even more because she leaves behind little children, so she went at a too young age.
And you are right, that we should be grateful for every day we get.

Not a clue yet what i will do today, yesterday I did some pruning of the ivy in the garden, still needs some more, but think today it will be too hot for it.
But somehow I will find things to do and at the end of the day I will wonder with what I passed the time all day LOL!
Have a fantastic day.
Hug
Kyra
