A Lovely Surprise From Mother Nature

September 21, 2016

Good morning.  I know I sound like a broken recording, but how else can I describe the weather here?  It's simply gorgeous outside today, sunny and 71F degrees with a soft breeze.   It will get much warmer by noon time, but I'm really enjoying this awesome weather.

Of course, it would be even better with a day or two of rain every now and then.  I drove by one of our reservoirs a few days ago, and goodness grief, I've never seen it so low.  Imagine how different things would be if our government had thought to build water pipe lines.

Mother Nature had another lovely surprise for us a couple days ago.  The little bits of rain that we have had brought forth another gorgeous yellow bloom in the little garden near the front door.

As I ride around, I'm noticing how many trees are beginning to change their colors.  All the beautiful lush green that shades my front yard will soon be turning a bright sunny yellow.  I don't know as I'm ready for that just yet.  (like I really have a choice?)

On a brighter note, I have a new quick page for you.  This one has an adorable little doggie on it.  I think he's looking for someone to play with.  Enjoy!

This morning I'm watching "Unsolved Mysteries."   I really enjoy seeing how cold cases get solved, and how family members and friends are able to be reunited.  It's such a refreshing break from all the violence on TV.   Last night, I watched the premiere of the new series "Bull" starring Michael Weatherly.   I'm not sure what I think of it yet, but time will tell.

Ever trip and/or fall for no reason at all?  I've been this way for most of my life.  I never did find out why, I just live with it.  Thankfully, it doesn't happen often.  This brings me to this adorable Minion cartoon that I found on the web (and borrowed).  This explains it all quite nicely.

So, next time you fall down, turn it into a positive.  Just imagine that you've just given the floor or the ground a much needed hug.

On that note, I think I'll go see what sort of fun mischief Pogo and I can get into today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have an awesome day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,
Thank you for the QP I love it. Aww our fur babies always need someone to play with.
I am waiting for my coffee. As usual I didn't sleep well last night. So tired this morning but maybe the coffee will kick in and give me some much needed wake up calls.

Lovely yellow rose. When my daughter Laurie was born my husband was a relief driver and he had to work as he was the only one that could take the load to where it needed to go. Same with my son Matthew. He sent me Yellow roses and when I got home the house was filled with yellow roses in every room. He always sent me a large bouquet of roses for every child. Yellow roses are still one of my favorites.

Time to go and see my doctor. My left foot is hurting so bad that I am not sure that I can handle the pain much longer. My high pain tolerance is dwindling and I am turning into a cry baby. Most of the time I can deal with the pain. When it gets this bad tho I know that I have met my match and need more help. I just wish that I could get settled into where ever I am moving and my visit with Patsy be over before I make a trip to the hospital because I am almost positive that they will keep me when I do go.

I am sorry about your lack of rain. At 3:00 this morning it was still 84 degrees outside. I am pretty much ready for some nice fall weather. Our trees are not changing colors right now, they are just losing their beautiful leaves. Can you believe that tomorrow is the first day of Autumn? Hard to believe.

Have a great day hon and give Pogo lots of love from me!! Love Beth

That yellow rose looks really awesome!
Our climbing rose is trying very hard and has given us a third period of blooming, well, just 3 or 4 and they are smaller flowers, but still, it is giving us surprises too!
Here too very little rain has fallen, May be in the weekend there could be some drops, but if not I think I will have to water the garden a bit.
Oh have times that I trip without reason(or because I am not paying good attention to the floor or the street), but must say it doesn't happen too often.
I better try to post something on my blog now, so till tomorrow!
Have a beautiful day.
Hug
Kyra

That yellow rose is absolutely beautiful ! I have a thing for yellow roses and cared for them in Reggie's garden while I was there. He planted them because he was from Texas (yellow rose of TX).
It's still sunny weather here as well. We have not had such a long and warm summer in years here in England. I wouldn't mind a bit cooler weather and the occasional rain shower by now... it's funny really ;) When we had lots of rainy summers it wasn't nice , but now I'm ready for the rain, lol. The trees are still green here, fall hasn't quite arrived yet.
