Pogo Is Loving The New Porch

July 17, 2016

Good morning.  Gosh, I've been up since 4 a.m. and now I'm getting tired.  It was warm and sticky all night, so sleep came in batches.  This morning, I've put the A/C on for a while just to get some of the sticky out of the air.

Yesterday was quiet around here.  Pogo and I sat out on the porch for a few hours.  I have to say that we are loving our new porch.  Pogo sat here on the love seat most of the time.  He didn't even care when I would leave to go in the house for something.  He was just loving his new space.

A few days ago, Pogo and I took a walk around the yard, and I took a few photos of some of the flowers that are blooming.   Here are some of the lilies and a pink astibile (I think).

Today I think I'll do a load of laundry.  Maybe I'll do one with Pogo's blankets too.  Then tomorrow morning, I have to call and try to reschedule an appointment.  I have too many things to do tomorrow and some of them overlap their times.

It's looking like it just might rain today.  It's been gray outside, but who knows?  It could all change in a couple of hours.  Either way, it's okay.  The gardens wouldn't mind a bit of rain.

If I don't fall asleep when I sit down in my lounge chair, I might even read a book.  I have lots of new ones on my tablet just waiting to be read.  Somehow though, I'm thinking that sleep might win over the books.  My eyelids are having trouble staying open.  lol.  Maybe I should just give in and go have me a nap.  Oh yeah, sounds like an awesome plan.

On that note, I think I'll take my leave.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs. Edna B.

HI Edna,

Pogo looks so sweet sitting in his little spot. I have a feeling no matter how many beds or blankets you put out, he has found his spot! I love the love seat. The cushions are gorgeous!

What kind of books on your tablet do you like to read? So far the ones that I am reading are not all that good. I have 17 books in all and only 2 so far were any good. The others are ok but I can tell that they are choppy and one in particular left out a lot of detail and had a strange ending. I am like where is the rest of this story? What ever happened to this character, So much was talked about, details of one of the characters wedding that never had the wedding in the book. It picked up with the clean up after the wedding. Another part was about the main characters home destroyed by a tornado but only part of the house was mentioned being either demolished and starting over or just repairing the house. I looked but there is not another book to pick up where this one left off.
The second book was really annoying. Girl meets old flame and spends the night with him. He is very controlling. He thinks that it is ok for him to have a career but not for her. She needs to give up her career and live in a villa in Italy and just be barefoot and pregnant. But it is alright that he can be a successful and wealthy business man, just that she cannot have a career too. So it is a lot of fighting about who's career is most important. I am thinking of deleting the whole lot and go back to real books. So that is my rant and I should close for now. I hear stirring around in the rest of the house so take care and lots of hugs and your flowers are gorgeous! Love Cisco and Beth

Glad you are enjoying your new porch after it took so long to finish. I loved all your flowers, but never saw the pink one before Very pretty. Your Pogo probably does not think of himself as a doggie.

Isn;t it wonderful to actually sit at the new porch? and oh my, Pogo really seems to love it.
The pink flower is an Astilbe.
I think you just have to give in to have a nap if your eyelids are soooo heavy.
And if there is time to do it, why not?
Glad you and Pogo are okay and having a blast enjoying the porch!
Hugs

It's nice you can finally enjoy that new porch. It is my dream to have a screened in area one of these days myself.
