Chasing The Blues Away

June 22, 2016

Good morning.  Here I am posting late again.  I've been up for quite a while, but first I had to feed Pogo, feed the birds, check the emails, and goodness knows what else.  It's amazing how so many little things can become so time consuming.   On the other hand, I'm quite thankful to be able to do these things.

Yesterday was a sort of lost day.  Actually, it was sort of a "blue funk" day.  The weather is gorgeous so these funky blues don't last very long.  Thank goodness!  Just walking around the yard helps to chase the blues away.

A couple weeks ago, I took some photos of the little white blossoms on the big rose bush outside my door.  This bush has tiny white flowers, and was the root stock for what once blossomed as a beautiful yellow rose bush.

I have to share a funny story about this rose bush.  I just went to Google images to see if I could find the name of this little white Multiflora rose, and it brought up several images including one from one of my older blog posts.  Hmmm, very interesting!

As I sit here and look out my door, I'm noticing that the sun has gone behind some clouds and a little breeze is blowing.  Maybe we'll get a little rain shower?  My plants will be ever so happy.  Joe will too because he won't have to water everything later.

There's really not very much happening around here right now.  I think I'll spend some time today working on the Scarlett afghan.  I'm down to the last twenty six rows to finish it.  It should have been finished quite a while ago, but I have not been in the mood to crochet.

I think I need to call Aunt Lucy and see if maybe we can't find some fun mischief to get into.  Now wouldn't that be fun!!  Yup, I think that's what I'll do.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a splendid day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Isn;t it amazing, that really doing so many "small"jobs take sooo much time after all? LOL!
And I sometimes am really busy doing all sort of things and then for a moment feel a bit pooped out, so sit down, look at the clock, expeting two hours passed, and then I only was busy for abut 3/4 of an hour, 1 hour at the most!
Time perception is tricky.
Love that rose bush. sometimes they change from color, to their original color, but who cares? As long as it flowers like it does?
I will try to rustle up a few lines for a blogpost and then we'll see what mischief I can get into.
Oh, would be nice if you had a meeting with Aunt Lucy. You two always seem to have great fun, and what better way to spend some time than like this?
Have a marvellous day.
Hug

Well, I am on break and still chasing my tail. My friend is moving and needs lots of help, Izzi has to be taken for long walks three times a day and then there is the garden and the weeds and the watering and grocery shopping and cooking and very few moments in my life for myself. I am reading a good book, but can't seem to get to it either even without creating and posting every day on my blog. Pant, pant ... I need to figure out a way to slow things down. My FH can't help with any of these things because he has lung issues. This is all making me very tired.

Your little rose doesn't look like a rose though it is very pretty. Are you sure ... does it have thorns? My gardens have gone rampant everything is growing bigger and faster than my gardens have room for. Every thing is very crowded ... I can't imagine what they will be like next year if I don't do some thinning. I need to find someone who wants some of these little plants. I hate to dig them out and then just let them die. But, that may be what I have to do. I have already given all of my neighbors these same plants in past years. Just one more thing to figure out.

My camera is not behaving. It does fine for awhile then suddenly, when I really want to catch something (like yesterday a little fawn was jumping and playing at my friends house) it won't focus ... Grrrr. I may never get a shot like that again and it is gone :(

So hope you are doing well. I appreciate that you faithfully comment on my blog posts even when I am absent on yours. I will try to be better ... just seems like there is no time. As I speak, I am being beckoned to fix breakfast so off I go to the kitchen. Stay well my friend ... and hugs to Pogo who has made Izzi's life happier with his support.

Edna.

What a wonderful way to have a Thursday with your Aunt Lucy. Perhaps another trip to the Dollar Store! I have to get myself over to one for some of my cleaning supplies. Plus I need some envelopes and writing paper and my pens have almost died so I need to restock.

Love the rose. Its gorgeous. My little sprig of Ivy has almost taken up the entire window from less than a year. It is beautiful but I need to find another spot for it. The ones outside are doing really well. The humidity is keeping them from drying up from the heat.

I have some things to do so I will say good bye. Cisco sends his love to you and Pogo. XOXOXO's from me to you both. Have a great day... Beth
