Pogo Makes My Heart Happy

May 15, 2016

Good morning.  Tis beautiful outside.  The sun is shining and my little birds are chirping.  Joe says he will go out and water all the plants so that I can clean up my email page.  I don't know what happened this morning, but my emails have been going bonkers.  So far, I think I've cleaned up most of it.

This whole week has been busy, but my yards is looking super nice.  Yesterday, the mail carrier brought me two blueberry plants that I had ordered; and, I'm hoping to get them planted this afternoon.  First I'll have to get Joe to take that huge bag of garden soil out of my car's trunk, and pour it into the new big planter.

Sometime this week, we need to go back to the garden center and buy a tomato plant and maybe a squash or cucumber plant.  These will go in the other big planter.  I think we need to pick up a couple bags of fertilizer too.  Gosh, it feels good to be able to finally play in the garden.

Over the weekend, I took the most adorable photo of Pogo while he was sleeping.  My little guy never had toys so he doesn't know how to play with them.  He has lots of toys now, but he mostly just sets each of them where he can keep an eye on them.  However, he does have a couple favorites.  He loves snuggling into his "snowball" when he goes to sleep.

In the morning when it was time to get up, this is how he left his snowball.  I think he likes his "Woodstock" too.  Or maybe Woodstock is just keeping the spot warm until Pogo is ready to have a nap.

While the guys were working in the yard the other day, I noticed some beautiful reflections of my Japanese Red Maple tree and the Norwegian Spruce trees on SIL Eddie's car.  See how pretty blue the sky was that day.

Several seedlings from the Japanese Red Maple tree have taken root beneath the Spruce trees.  Eddie and Cliff dug up a good sized one and replanted it on the other side of my house.  I'll take some photos of it later today.

I've been doing a bit of crocheting too lately, and have finally finished the Café Latte afghan.  Now I just have two more to finish before Fall.  Yesterday, Pogo and I went to JoAnn's Fabric store to check out the sewing machines and the upcoming classes.  Once I decide on a machine, I think I'll sign up for Sewing 1.  This class teaches you how to use your machine.  Definitely a good class for me!!

Now it's time for me to get dressed and find some fun mischief to get into.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

You did have a rather busy week! But there is some result to be happy for. What a pleasant surprise that you have a seedling from the maple tree. It are such beautiful trees.
It will be fun to be busy with the planters and also to have to go back to the garden centre, yeah!
Pogo just looks so sweet. He is a bit the same as our cats(well Dikkie Dik isn;t there anymore, but he and Brodski were brothers), never learned to play.
Sometimes Brodski will move his paw a bit, if I keep the toy moving around, but that's all.
But i like the placing around of his toys. It's funny.

Here the weather is trying to get a bit better, but the last two days temps were kind of a shock, brrrr. still there is hope, perhaps at midweek slowly the temps will rise again.
One thing was good, we had a bit of rain and all the plants in the garden were doing a happy dance LOL.
Hope you have a lovely day.
Hug
