Oooh, The Sun Feels Soooo Good!

May 9, 2016

Good morning.  I'm happy to say that the sun is shining beautifully today, and the temperature is headed for the low 60's.  Woo Hoo!!  Although it rained yesterday, the sun did come out around 3 p.m.  All in all it was a beautiful day.

Deanne, Eddie and the kids took me out to breakfast, and we had a wonderful time.  Deanne and Jasmine had gone on ahead so that I wouldn't have to stand in line for a long time.  By the time Eddie, Kevin and I got there, Deanne and Jasmine were already seated.  Wow, great plan!   The inner and outer lobby was filled with folks waiting to get in, and the line went on outdoors.

We all enjoyed a tasty breakfast, and even brought a doggie bag home for Joe.  Oh yes, he loved it!!  When I got home, I made a nice breakfast for Pogo too.  I was going to take him out for a while, but it was raining.  We'll go out today instead.

I have a gorgeous hummingbird wind chime that Audrey sent me, (thank you Audrey, I've been wanting one of these) and a beautiful framed seashell scene that great granddaughter Alena made for me.  I'll have to take some photos of them to share.  I have a new shepherd's hook for the garden, and I might hang the wind chimes on it.

I have some photos of the cherry blossoms on my tree.  Gosh, they are soooo pretty!!  This is what you see when you look out the kitchen window in the main part of the house.

Because of yesterday's rain, we did not get to plant the new rose bushes.  Joe says that we can do it later today when he gets home from work.  That works for me.  Although they look beautiful on my door step, it's not the best place for them.

Maybe we can take the big bags of soil out of my car's trunk and fill up the new planters that I bought earlier.  It's almost time to plant some tomatoes and cucumbers.  Maybe some summer squash too!  (oooh, that means another shopping trip to buy the veggie plants, yes!!)

Well that's my news for today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

Wonderful time of it that you had yesterday and lovely gifts. I am struggling with no coffee today until my test is over and then I will have Jonathan take me out to a late lunch. If he gets here in time. I do hope so.... Hugs and give Pogo cuddles and kisses for me....... Beth

Glad you had a nice day. I have found there are two days you do not eat out, Mother's day and Easter. You definitely will wait in line. I want to it. Your tree bloom very pretty.

Happy Mother's Day belated wishes to you Edna! I am trying to make the rounds and catch up with everyone. Without call waiting or reservations it is hard to go out and enjoy a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our kids took us to dinner Saturday for our anniversary / Mother's Day. It was delightful. We still had a wait with the reservation but our excellent server made up for the rudeness at the hostess station. We have had on and off rainy cold weather. Hannah is dreaming of buying one of those big pools this summer. Lots to do in our yard, it's been so cold we can't work in the wet, muddy weather. Good to see you here and know you and Mogo are doing well xo

Had some trouble logging in to Blogger nut glad it works again! Pffff.
wonderful you had such a great breakfast with Deanne and family.
and some nice gifts too, so you had a great day.
The cherry blossoms are sooo beautiful, and such a pity they don't last for long, is it?
Would be great if your roses could be planted and yes, if you want to have some tomatoes and other veggies it is definately time to sow now. Or perhaps even better buy smaller plants in the garden centre and grow them to full glory in your planters!!!
Today it is cloudy till now, hope that this afternoon sme sun will be shining.
Have to go out and rather do it in the sunshine.
have a wonderful day.
Hug
