Life Has Been Busy Changing Plans

May 19, 2016

Good morning.  It's looking a bit cloudy outside my window, but I'm sure the sun will be shining ever so brightly in a little while.  Today's temps are supposed to get up to almost 70F degrees.  At the moment though, it's only 53F degrees.

During the night temps were in the low to mid 40's.  That's great for sleeping, but now that the heat is off I'm having to adjust to these cooler temps again.  It's not easy telling myself that I have to come out from under the blanket in the morning.  However, in another few weeks, I'll be longing for these cooler "sleeping" nights.  Sighhh, sometimes you just can't win.

SIL Eddie and I had plans to take Aunt Lucy out to lunch today, but she just called and has a mass to go to.  She won't be home until around 1 p.m., and we would have to heading home at that time.  So, we'll make it one day next week.

As for life, well it got in the way again yesterday, and all plans had to be changed again.  Some weeks that's how it goes in the real world.  Also, I got an estimate from another contractor for the porch, and OMG it is several thousand dollars higher than the first estimate.  I'm going to have to do a bit of re-thinking on what kind of porch I want.

I found another crochet pattern for a cardigan shrug.  This one looks a bit lacier than the first one I found.  As soon as I can decide on a color, I just might try this pattern.

Seeing as how my plans for today have been changed, I think I might take Pogo and go shopping.  The National Wholesale store a couple towns over is having a wicked good sale.  Poland Spring Water is on sale, so I'll pick up a couple of these.  This is what Pogo and I drink.

I found an adorable sign on the web that I wanted to share here.  This one is for all us animal lovers.

Or cat hair!!  Also, seeing little stuffed toys everywhere is a good sign that pets live in the home.  Having fur babies in your life will help you to live longer.  It's a win win situation.

Now I think I'll call SIL Eddie to let him know that our plans have changed.  Then I think I'll get dressed and Pogo and I will head out to go shopping.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Morning sunshine! We awoke to 3rd morning in a row of rain and lightning...I think we are going to float away, but it has finally stopped and we are supposed to have at least 3 days with no rain in the forecast. Along with the rain, the temps have dropped drastically for this time of year, we were in the mid 50's yesterday morning and only reached 64F, but this morning we started at 60F and supposed to see 68F which is about 20 degrees cooler than normal. I have all my windows and my doors open to rearrange the dust bunnies and to get the stale AC air out of here...LMBO! The fur babes are so enjoying it and the birds are just singing up a storm...sounds so delightful. Thanks for the cute, cute QP and all your emails! I so enjoy keeping up with you and Pogo daily! I just made a large pan of brownies and they smell so good, think I will just have to have one with some ice cold milk, nice brunch, right? Ok, off here to get some scrapping done while my hands will allow (they get older tomorrow), have a fantastic day you two. Hugs, Mat

Hi Edna,

I just love your temps at night. It is usually in the 70's here at night except for the occasional cool front. We had very wicked thunderstorms early this morning. Cisco was having none of it. He was not very happy that his morning sleep was disturbed and I wasn't very pleased either but now it is just raining, damp and wet.

I am slowly getting up and awake and it is about time since it is nearly noon and my transportation will be here at 1:00 pm to take me to the doctor. I still have to shower and dress but first I am having a cup of coffee.

I love the shrug. I am not sure which one I liked the best. They are both gorgeous. I like the idea of a shrug. Something not really heavy, but just enough to keep the chill off your shoulders. Karyn gave me a gorgeous shawl for Valentines that I really love. The only drawback is that it is dry clean only. I am going over to Laurie's in a few days and I have a few things that need to be cleaned and repaired. I might take them then as she has a dry cleaners in her apartment complex.

I guess I had better get myself in gear. Have a wonderful day Edna and lots of xoxoxxoxoxxoxoxo"s for Pogo! Beth and Cisco

Ahhhh, plans are made to be changed, hahaha.
Pity you cannot meet up with Aunt Lucy, but on the other hand, you have something to look forward to in near future.
Sounds a great plan to take Pogo out for a while and have yourself a nice trip.
Very strange weather here at the moment. it cannot decide if it has to become real spring or even Summer, or going back to kind of early Autumn
Some rainshowers, temps not too high, some clouds, every now and then some sunshine, then tomorrow higher temps of about 20-22 C. sunday again much lower, very unpredictable and confusing.
If it gets a little bit better in the afternoon I might go quickly to the market for some veggies.
Think I will make a post on my blog tomorrow.
You have a wonderful day and great fun checking out the sale!
