Happy Birthday Janet

March 29, 2016

Good morning.  My goodness, the month of March is slipping away quickly.  There's only a couple more days and we'll be welcoming in a new month.  It's cloudy today, but the temps are in the mid 40's.  A good day for doing errands.

SIL Eddie might be coming by later this morning to install the new cabinet in the upstairs bathroom.  Once I know he is all set, I'll run out for a bit to do my errands.  Wow, I just changed the TV station to the Weather Channel and they are showing another winter storm dumping lots of snow on the Mid-west states.  I guess Mother Nature just isn't ready to let go of winter.

Today is DIL Janet's birthday.  Pogo and I are wishing her a beautiful day full of happiness.  She'll be coming by tomorrow after work, so I'll have to think about what I can make us for supper.  Hmmm, maybe we'll do take out.  We both love pizza and Chinese food so maybe we'll have one of these.

Today I have a photo of my handsome little guy all snuggled into his new "camo" fuzzy blanket.  It doesn't take much to make Pogo happy, especially if it's soft and fuzzy.

It's time to start thinking of what new plants to buy for the garden.  Here is an image (that I borrowed from the web) showing some plants that mosquitos do not like.  You might also want to plant some of these in large pots on your porch.

Well that's about all my news for this morning.  It's time now for me to get dressed.  SIL Eddie just called to say that he is on his way over here.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

Just wanted to say hi to you and Pogo and wish Janet a very special birthday! Both take outs sound fantastic. I want some Mexican food.

I am dressed and waiting for my ride to get here to take me to the doctor. I am going to update my blog this afternoon when I get back and tell about my adventures yesterday that kept me up most of the night again. From pain and aggravation.

On the funny side... My niece is pregnant. At her last sonogram the grandmothers were present and since my niece and her husband wanted to wait on knowing what the baby was, the dr. wrote on the pictures what she believed was the sex for them as they were planning a new thing going on now days called a Gender Party where the sex is revealed.
The doctor warned them all that to wait to be sure until the next sonogram. But Tabitha my niece changed her mind and wanted the party so the grandma's got together and gave it to her... a little girl. Everyone was so excited.. Today she went back in for the conclusive sonogram and it is a BOY! lol....... OH BOY! I told my sister it was just another great excuse to have another party lol.

I have to run. I have less than 20 minutes before I have to leave... give my love to Pogo with a smattering of licks and hi fives from Cisco and I..... Hugs to you too my dear friend..... Love, Beth

Happy birthday Janet. Love the camp cozy blanket.
Thanks for the tips on what to plant to keep Mosquitos at bay.
Have a fun time with Janet.

Mosquito repellent plants are good , but don't do the cat nip unless you want ALL the cats from the neighborhood holding nightly concerts in your garden ,lol. Any mint is tricky as they like to take over and spread rapidly ! Much better to plant some in a pot and keep it by your window inside. You can actually cut and dry the leaves to make tea. It's fantastic for upset stomach, stress and even arthritis relief. :) Snowy
