Enjoying The Nightly Fireworks Displays

March 7, 2016

Good morning.  It's a little after 6 a.m., and I've been up for a while now.  Joe will be leaving in a few hours to head back home.  Then it's just Pogo and me for the rest of the week.  Pogo is really going to miss his turkey treats.  (He will only take them from Joe)

I think I'll just laze about for the rest of this week, except for maybe one trip to the flea market.  I should be able to get a lot of the Honeydew green afghan done.  Right now, it is a little more than twenty five percent done.

This year, the nightly fireworks brings out a lot of the folks here.  We stand out in the parking area and watch a fabulous show.  So far, I 've been able to get quite a lot of decent photos.   Here are some  of my favorite fun shots.  Later I'll share some of the regular shots.

This last shot is from the finale.  I just love the orange and gold colors against the black background.  I guess we are all just kids at heart when it comes to fireworks displays.  They are beautiful, and we all come out to watch them.

I have another photo to share.  This one did not come very good, but it is the only one I have of Pogo playing with his Auntie Audrey.  I used my phone, and the lighting was not very good, but you can see how much fun he has been having with all of us lavishing attention on him.

Perhaps today I'll work on my laptop for a while and make a couple new quick pages.  Things will be busy when I get back home and I might not have very much computer play time the first week.  I will find out after I get home how my taxes came out.  Hopefully, I won't owe any extra money.  I've been making quarterly payments to the IRS and the State all during the past year.

When I get home, I'll be needing to buy me a new mouse for this little laptop.  I broke the cover to the battery compartment on the bottom of the mouse while I was trying to open it to change the battery.  Now my mouse doesn't roll so smoothly on the mouse pad.  But it will do for now.

Well, that's about all my news for this morning.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,

Wonderful photos! I just love the fireworks. I have heard that Disney does big firework displays at the end of the evening. How wonderful that your able to see them and have the chance to take such wonderful photos.

How are you sleeping on the new sofa mattress? I hope a lot better than before. I have had a lot of sleep the past evening and last night. Cisco sleeps better than I do as he rarely moves thru out the night. As for me I tossed and turned but barely remember it. I had some good dreams tho. My mama and daddy visited me during my nap yesterday. I dreamed we were picking up pecans from an orchard. I have this dream quiet frequently.

I had lunch already but Cisco is still sleeping. I tried to rouse him to eat and go out to potty but he just rolled over and went back to sleep. He will eat when he is hungry I suppose and he will certainly let me know when he wants to go out.

I hope that you enjoy the rest of the week. I am very glad that your having good weather there as well. You will miss the sunshine and warmth when you return home. Now is a great time to enjoy it.

Take care and have a super day... Tell Pogo that Cisco says "Woof" and we both send our love and hugs! Beth

Nice fireworks! I love those days when I can move slowly and take it easy But this week I need to get busy. We had a bizarre snow storm today. It got so cold and the snow fell sideways fast and hard and left a lot on the grass. I was planning to open the shed and work in there to store more stuff but that did not happen. Tomorrow is a better day. Pogo is quite a handsome fellow. Always sweet to see him here. Hope you are both fine. Take care and enjoy a wonderful week.

I don't know where time went...missed the beginning of your trip. Absolutely love the last finale of the fireworks shots. Gene and I went to Sunset Park today and I counted over 30 cormorants sunning themselves. Made me think of you. Have fun, great colors in this afghan.
