Oh Boy, A New Box Of Yarn!!

February 19, 2016

Good morning.  The sun is shining and the temps will get up to the low 30's today.  Not too bad for a winter day in New England.  Gosh, I have a pain in my side this morning.  I hope I don't have a cold in my kidneys.  Just what I need so close to vacation time.  I'll have to double up on my nose spray.  (just a bit of humor here)

Daughter Deanne came by yesterday with two of my great grandchildren, Jack and Lilah.  Gosh they are getting so big.  Pogo had a wonderful time playing with the kids and having his favorite Auntie lavish lots of hugs on him.

The mailman just delivered a bunch of mail and a big box of yarn for me.  Woo Hoo!!  I opened the box and all the yarns will match the solid colors that I am working with.  What a relief!!  If the greens match as good as I think they will, I'll be taking the green yarns with me to Florida.

I dug out an old photo of my my brother Artie, one of our dwarfs named Bob and my hubby.  They have all passed on but this was a happy day for all of them.  I made a scrap page using an assortment of kits from my friend Kyra.  I'll try to turn it into a QP for you.

There's not very much news for today so I think I'll just get busy and find some fun mischief to get into.  Hmmm, probably that new box of yarn!!  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,

Hooray, the box of yarn finally arrived! I am so happy for you and now you can work on your projects.

I loved your scrap page that you did of your 3 guys... How beautiful. Kyra sure knows how to make some beautiful kits. I remember my very first kit that I got from her blog was Lady In Red. I fell in love with her beautiful kits right then and there!

How wonderful that you got to see the Great Grand children. Yes they do tend to grow up so fast. My grandson Dante, the baby was in the hospital the day after Valentines Day. Double ear infection in both ears and a bad upper respiratory infection and they thought that he might have had pneumonia but the x-rays came back clear for that.
Laurie called me this morning and of course he had to talk and he was saying "Na-Na come now." Ohhh I wanted to so badly and he doesn't understand why I just can't come right then.

So in a couple of weeks you will be having some fun in the sun. I am so happy that your going to get away for a couple of weeks and enjoy some warm temps for a change. It is a little cooler today than they had predicted. It is 71 here right now, but I don't think that it is going to make it into the 80's like they were saying. The wind has really been blowing hard and last night it was very strong.

I will close for now and let you get on with your day. You and Pogo have a marvelous day. Hugs to the both of you from me and Cisco. Beth

Gosh, you finally had a snooze in the later morning and then you had to wake up for the oil guys, Life isn;t fair sometimes LOL.
Glad all arrangements were made for the car, it will give you some peace of mind.
I just said to Jan yesterday how wonderful it sometimes is to know and see our cat around, snorring away, not doing anything but just being present. It makes you feel at ease, you know So i understand your words about Pogo, of course.
That quickpage is so nice and makes a good memory.
Have a wonderful weekend and try to take some more snoozes!
Hug
Kyra

Holy Cow it has been awhile since I have been at my computer and blog walked. I am so tired when I get home I usually just feed my fur babies, change into jammies, wash my face and brush my teeth and go to bed. The work is very tiring and demanding on the phone and computer for 8 straight hours. I do miss my blogs though and am thankful that I get your e-mails...at least I don't feel so out of touch. Thanks for the terrific QPs I have downloaded. Love them! Hope you and Pogo continue to get ready for your Florida sunshine without any hitches...chat more next time! Many hugs sent your way! Mat
