"D" Day Is Here!!!

February 24, 2016

Good morning.  At the moment, it is cloudy and wet.  Temps are right around 41F degrees, and headed for the low 50's later today.  Sounds like the right kind of day to do one's taxes.  This will be a short post because I will be leaving in a while to head for the accountant's office with all my tax stuff in hand.

Today is "D" day.  D for dreaded!!  I'll be so glad once the taxes are finished.  When I get back from Florida, I'll start a new notebook with tax information for next year.  Hopefully, this will make the chore next year a bit easier for me.  We'll see.

I was looking through some files and came across a couple of projects that I did in the past, and thought I would share them with you.  I love photographing birds, and this first project is a montage of some of my favorite bird photos.

Another fun project was to make a book, using our photos and a new technique.  I used a fun action from Panos FX to make my book.  This website has the most fascinating actions for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.  And, they offer a lot of freebie actions for you to try.  Treat yourself and have a look at their site.  Here's my book.

Yesterday, I was able to get a couple of errands done, but there is still a lot to do before the weekend.  SIL Eddie will go with me tomorrow to the service for my brother in law.  It's an hour's drive to get there, but with traffic it may take longer, so we'll leave a bit early.

Pogo had his yearly check-up yesterday with his doctor, and he did just fine.  Actually, he lost a few ounces, so now he only weighs five and a half pounds.  He does have a food allergy, so we came home with a new antibiotic for him to take.  Hopefully this will help with the itchy rash.

Right now, he is snuggled into a super plushy blanket on his sofa, snoring away.  Gosh, it makes my eyes so happy to watch him while he sleeps like this.  All animals should be able to do this.

Well, it's time now for me to start getting dressed and ready to head out.  Wish me luck.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a beautiful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,

Glad that Pogo had his check up... Poor baby has a food allergy. What do you think that he is allergic to?

Well last night I became a Twitter-er.... I have resisted for a long time and yet I have been curious to know what all the fuss was about. I can say that so far I am not impressed. The local news is really the only thing that I signed up for and some Austin eateries and a few Austin local events and one Austin cooking thing. I am not interested in the movie stars... Really the world of Hollywood and those that play in it is just not interesting to me.

I am so sorry about your Brother in Law's passing. It is nice to know that Eddie will go with you. I have you in my thoughts and prayers today and tomorrow and beyond. I know that this is a sad time in your life.

I just love your bird project and your Bird book.... Very nice! I am trying to do a photo book of my grandkids to gift to Laurie and Matthew. I will get it the way that I want to soon.

I have a doctors appointment so I need to get myself in gear. Have a great day to you and Pogo. Cisco says Woof and sends a high five... Hugs, Beth and Cisco.

Best now to get done with all the taxes. I am sure it will be allright.
Nice that Eddie will go to your to the service. It will be a sad moment for you to say a last goodbye to your brother in law. It will bring memories back to you.
But then just a few days more and you can relax in Florida. That should brighten you up.
Great that in all Pogo had a good check pity though he has tthis allergy.
Still he is fine and in good hands. He will be delighted to go to Florida.
Have a good day
