Time Is Starting To Fly Again

January 27, 2016

Good morning.  It's not daylight yet, but I've been busy paying bills.  Later this morning, Pogo and I will go to the bank and then to the town hall to pay more taxes and pick up Pogo's new license tag.  I also want to call Pogo's groomer and make an appointment for him.  His adorable little face is being hidden beneath long hair.

Well, none of the packages I'm expecting arrived yesterday.  So hopefully they'll get here today.  I especially hope the box of yarn gets here so that I can get back to working on my afghans.  I did try using a yarn that I have on the "café latte" afghan, but it just isn't looking very happy.

Pogo got a reminder notice from his doctor saying that his annual physical appointment is in two and a half weeks.  Gosh, time is flying again.  We'll be leaving for Florida about ten days after that appointment.  Oh wow, I have so much to do.

Before I leave to get busy here, let me post your QP freebie.  This one features my little friend Zlata.  I just love this character.  Her facial expressions are so adorable.  (See my TOU for credits.)

Here is your download link:
Expired

I also have a scrap layout to share that my friend Beth made, using the photo of me and Pogo, and Jack and Lila.  (great grands)  I love it Beth.  Thank you so much.

Now I think I'll pull out the tax stuff and work on that for a while till it's time for Pogo and me to go out.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

It's so exciting waiting for packages to arrive. My new pickleball paddle just arrived yesterday and I'm waiting for my balls to arrive before photographing them for the blog. Always fun to have new toys.

So when did the time stop flying. I get up in the morning and the next thing I know, I am going to bed. I know life is full of activity which probably makes time seem to fly even more, but darned if I can keep up with it.
Izzi is due for her physical and shots as well. I will do it after I get back from Thailand. Ryan and Mint went to a Lisu wedding of a friend and sent pictures ... I am so excited. The dress is so different and beautiful. My finger is itching to take pictures, pictures, pictures ... but, as the Mother of the groom, I have to sit up front with her Mom and Dad. Hmmm ... hope it won't be inappropriate for me to sit there snapping away.
We had a dusting of snow yesterday and it is colder here today than it has been ... but they say we will be in the 40's by the weekend. Don't know how long the warm weather will last, but I am hoping it will melt the snow enough for Izzi and I to find her 5th Frisbee which we lost in the yard in the snow right after Christmas. We are down to three now because she also lost one in the house ... makes her game shorter and she doesn't like that :)

I am off to run errands today as well. Starting to stock up on food for my FH and daughter to eat while I am gone. I will be making a big pot of soup, a big skillet of Stroganoff and something else that I haven't decided yet. Will probably have to freeze some of it so it won't go bad. Oh snap, the FH will have to warm it in the Microwave. He will probably burn it, but that will be his problem as I will be basking in the sun of paradise, Ha! Well, better get going. Have a safe day out in the cold. Be well, Edna ... and Izzi just gave a grunt for Pogo. Don't know what that means, but she does it when she is getting rubbies, so I assume it is a good thing :)

Hello Edna,

Great to see that Pogo is getting attention from the groomer, and his doctor all in all it will be great to have everything taken care of early.
I tried very hard to get a picture of Cisco with his box of bones from Pogo. He will not sit still long enough. Tail wagging and he taps the box with his paw and looks up at me. I have to discipline myself because I was tempted to let him pick out his treat but he had to have breakfast first. Maybe I will get lucky and be able to get a photo of him but he is not co-operating at the moment.

I really hope that the packages come today. I know how frustrating it can be when you are waiting for something to come in the mail and it doesn't arrive. The mail can be so fickle...

My son is on his way over so I guess that I should get dressed and then do a few things around here. I am so aggravated with him. I am determined to make this a good visit because he is headed out to visit Barbara's relatives. Then he will head back to Nebraska.... Hugs to you and Pogo from Cisco and Beth

Best to do the nasty bits first, like paying bills. Then you can forget about them for a little while LOL!
Hope your packages will arrive today and at a time your are home!
Oh boy, Pogo will look ever so handsome again after his visit at the groomer.
Time is running fast now, is it? You will soon be in Florida, lovely.
Today I am going out for sure, it looks great outside. Stayed in yesterday, but did the laundry and ironing and spent some time in the kitchen for dinner preparation. And today I have it easy, just have to warm up the large left over(made it specially for two days, hahaha).
Well, I soon will have to dress and then go out for some food shopping .
Have a wonderful day.
Hug
