Pogo Has A Wicked Sense Of Humor Some Times

November 16, 2015

Good morning.  It's 4:50 a.m., and I've been up for a while.  Pogo and I have just finished our breakfast, and he is fast asleep again.  I'm hoping to be sleeping soon too, after I finish this post.

Last evening, I curled up in my lounge chair to put the last two rows on the Frosty Green afghan that I'm working on.  Pogo decided that he wanted to sit with me, and settled in comfortably right on top of the afghan.   Actually, he curled himself right into it.  I took this photo around 9:58 p.m.

It was a bit difficult trying to work on the afghan, and I leaned my head back for a moment to figure out how to do this without disturbing Pogo.  I woke up a little after midnight to find that Pogo had changed his position, giving me an opportunity to grab on to the end of the afghan.  I took this photo at 12:08 a.m.

Somehow I managed to work the last two rows of the afghan.  It is finished!!   I thought I might start on the baby blanket, but Pogo was not moving.  Actually, he was snoring away, ever so lightly;  probably dreaming of how he might be able to snag this afghan for himself.  You gotta love this little guy.

Earlier in the day, Deanne and Eddie came by with two of my great grandkids, Jack and Lilah.  Oh gosh, it is so good to see the little ones.  They've been staying with Deanne and Eddie, and will be at least through tomorrow.  After that, I guess it all depends on when their mom and Ali can come home from the hospital.

The news today about Randi and Ali was not so good.  It seems they both have had a set back, so more tests are being done.  I sent Randi a photo of the kids and me that Deanne took with her phone.  It seemed to cheer her up a bit.  Here's the photo with moi and Jack, Pogo and Lilah.  We were out in the laundry room just before they were leaving.   I am so blessed.

Today, after I get up from that nice long nap that I'm going to have, I think I must really get serious about my gift wrapping.  It's not my favorite thing to do, so I procrastinate a lot.  I start it, but then I let myself get side-tracked.  Unfortunately, time is slipping away, so I must buckle down now and get it done.

Right now though, I think I'll put in my six o'clock eye drop (a bit early, I know) and then I think I'll curl up under my blanket and invite the sandman in for a visit.  Mmmm.  Sounds delightful!  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a splendid day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I hope the news about Randi and Ali improves and they are home soon!

Pogo and Kaline really do “telling mom what she’ll do” in common! When I wake up in the morning with a lapful of Kaline, she does a really good job oft moving to let me know it’s time to go back to sleep. :)

The photo of you and the greats is so sweet!

I didn’t see an update; do you indeed have pink eye or just an eye irritation? I remember having pink eye on a camping trip when I was little. My mom stayed at the campsite and put the drops in my eye and my brother went fishing with my dad. I can think now about how hard it must have been on Mom, but I remember feeling miserable because I was sick and worse because I was terrible jealous because Dave went fishing.

Give Pogo a scritch for me (and a high-five from Kaline)

Hugs, Nani

Edna,
I do so hope that the news of Randi and Ali begin to improve. What a great photo of you and the kids. I bet that really made your day.... They are some cuties!
I was able to get a little sleep. Just a couple of hours. Three at the most. I am not having coffee this morning. I am having some of Jonathans tea that he likes so I thought that it would really be relaxing and perhaps I could sleep. I just went into the kitchen to take back a few more toys that Cisco has swiped and I thought that I would check the ingredients on the tea because it is really good and the first thing that I saw was the caffine... 61mg per cup... Not sure what coffee has per cup but now I know that must be the reason that the name of the tea is Awake. I just thought that it was a fancy name... Oh my...
I really love the colors in your frosty green afghan. Wow... so pretty and Pogo just adds so much to it... Loved to see him snuggle. He is such a little doll. I do hope that you were able to go back to bed and rest. I think that I am going to go and do so myself. I am really tired... I wonder why! Love Cisco and Beth Hugs to both of you and I am praying that mom and baby start to improve soon...

I do hope Randi and Ali get better soon...it's so scary when you hear news like this.

Pogo is adorable all snuggled into his little blanket. Even if he doesn't get to keep that one he can enjoy it during the construction.

Isn't if funny how we'll go out of the way not to disturb our fur babies when they are sleeping?

Have a good one my friend.

Pogo is doint about the same as Brodski when I am knitting something. Those pets always take kind of akward positions on our laps at times we are busy with something LOL!
Nice of Deanne and Eddie to take the great grandkids to you for a visit. Only sad that the news about Randi and Ali isn't all too good, hope it will turn for the better any day now!
You were up so early, so good idea to get back into bed for some more sleep, hope Mr. Sandman did a good job!
Have a wonderful day.
