Yeah, We're Going Out Today!!

September 17, 2015

Good morning.  It's a little after 8 a.m. and the weather is just gorgeous right now.  It will climb into the 80's in a few hours, but right now it's really nice.  I'm watching a tiny titmouse enjoying the peanut butter bread outside in the treat box.  What a nice way to start my day.

Well yesterday, Pogo and I did not make it out to the park because we had to wait for the Pest Control guys to show up.  It's good that they came too, because they found one of Fat Rat's relatives in one of the bait boxes.  Not the Fat Rat though.  This chubby little critter is pretty smart about evading the bait boxes.   (so far)

There's been a lot of talk on TV about the Muslim student who made a clock and took it to school to show to his teacher.   Because it resembled a safety threat, the police were called and the student was arrested.  First, I don't think he should have taken this in to the school without first getting permission from the school.  Also, had he been something other than Muslim, I believe the teacher still would have called in the authorities.  This is not a race/religious incident.  There have been too many school bombings not to take something like this seriously.  If you have other views on this topic, I'd love to hear them.

A while ago, I found the prettiest set of cooking pans.  After much thought, I ordered a set of them for myself.  Well, they arrived yesterday, and oh my are they ever so pretty!!  Now I can't wait to cook something in them.  I am not great in the kitchen, so I think these pretty pans will make cooking a bit more fun.

I did take a few photos of the blooms still growing in my garden.  Here's a photo of some of the red "Knock Off" roses.  These are very hardy and will continue to bloom till the end of Fall.

Well, it's after 9 a.m. and I really must get dressed.  Pogo and I have an appointment with my new tax accountant in just a little while.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
What beautiful pans. I love the colors. The pink and yellow really had me looking. It is almost time for me to have a pot and pan shopping spree but first I really do want to get a comforter and new sheets for my bed. I keep saying I am going to order one but now that Christmas is so close I am going to have to wait just a little longer on that but I will know when the time is right.

So glad that at least one of the relatives were found by the pest control guys. Yes it looks like the big guy is just a bit too smart! But hopefully he will be caught soon. Hopefully before Winter sets in.

I was busy all day yesterday with my CT pages, a meeting and downloading a few new kits from the designer. I never made it over to my blog and so I must catch up on that today. There are a few things that I would like to do today as well. I really need to clean my room and bath and I should go ahead and catch up on my little bit of laundry and have it done as well.

I have not heard anything about the clock or the student. I will check it out. Thanks for sharing that.

You and Pogo have a great day. Hugs from Cisco and Beth

I love those cute little pans you got. How pretty! Your roses are just beautiful. Mine have stopped blooming for the season.

Hope you catch Fat Rat. I wouldn't want him boarding with me either.

ooh! those pans are so pretty! I love a fun, cheerful kitchen. Makes cooking happier! Hope they catch that fat rat. I guess the reason why he lived to get so chubby is that he's smarter than the average rat.

We've had it ne the news to, about the sutdent and the clock. I can understand the fright, and it also is aweful that we are reacting this way to something creative, isn;t it?
Here the same in the train the Thalys,(goes from the Netherlands to France), at the moment is at the staion of Rotterdam, all passengers are out, militaries and police and helicopters are there, because there is a man hiding in the toilet and nobody knows why. He just jumped at the train at the very last minute and got into the toilet.
Remembering the aweful accident a few weeks ago, with a guy who had a weapon and fired it and was captured by a few passengers, I can understand the reaction on this event. We'll see later at the news what is is actually.

Oh I love your new pans. They look so happy and fun. Yes, it makes you wanting to cook something, LOL!
Hope your new accountant is as good as your old one.
And may be you will have time to go to the park after the appointment?
Anyway, enjoy your day and may be Mr. Fatrat will will caught this weekend?
Hugs
