Blog Post #2600

September 30, 2015

Good morning from my soggy part of New England.   During the night, the rain started getting heavier, and now we have a huge puddle at the end of the driveway.   I guess it will be raining for a few days, but as long as it doesn't get really heavy we'll be okay.  We've been having a drought in this part of the country, so hopefully this rain will fill up our reservoirs and ponds.

Starting tomorrow, our temperatures are going to be dropping to the 50's and 60's during the day, and the 40's at night.  Goodness, I may have to dig out my warm sweats if this keeps up.  It makes me sad to have to put away my summer tops and bermuda shorts.  Maybe I'll keep them out a bit longer.

Today will be a short post, because soon I have to leave for my doctor appointment.  But this is the post #2600, and I have another freebie for you.  It's a whimsical QP featuring an adorable little character named Lola.  (She is from a series of kits by Freda Fredericksson)

DIL Janet will be coming by later after work, and I had thought I would make a beef stew.  I do have all the ingredients, but I don't know if I have enough time to make it today.  I'm going to be busy right up until around 2 p.m.  Hmmm, we'll see.

I came across another cute crochet pattern that I might try once all my other projects are finished.  This one is called the "Princess Diana Crochet Hat" and would look really nice in the Spring.

Well, time is flying and I need to start getting dressed.  Before I go, let me share a rather unique new diet that I found while surfing the web.  It does look like it could have some possibilities.  haha.

Well, that's it for this morning.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay dry and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,
I am hoping that all is well with the doctor appointment. I am not sure why they need the medication list either but I bring it. I do have an app on my phone that lets me list everything and I can just print it out so that makes it a little easier and I suppose since my medication is constantly changing that it is a good thing. While I was in the hospital I did not get all of my medications and come to find out the system was not updated so I downloaded the app and now have it on my phone.

Your quick pages are adorable and congratulations on your milestone. What a wonderful achievement for you. I have a few things to do with my blog. I posted a short post this morning but have nothing new to report.

I wish that we had some cooler and wet weather here. It is still hot but it fluctuates 15 to 20 degrees cooler so far. Last few days we have been in the 80 and 90's here. It is 89 degrees here right now.
I rearranged my bedroom last night and now have my own computer spot in front of my window facing my back patio. I am watching the leaves fall. They are falling rather fast and are so pretty as they are twirling around as they fall. It is going to be sad to see the trees go bare again for the winter but I remind myself that it is a cycle, a time for the trees to rest, to sleep and to gain their strength for their next re-birth so I can live with that.

Cisco has been clingy today. He is enjoying his time with his mama. He gets nervous when I move things around but he seems to be content as he sees that his bed has not gone anywhere. I made it up this morning but he has wiggled his little body under the covers.

Your quick pages are awesome and I can't wait to find the time to sit down and work with them. I have several pages to get caught up on with my CT and as soon as that is done I plan to make some pages using your quickpages.

Have a great day and enjoy the cooler temps and the rain. Just remember that it will not lost all that long and will be gone in a few days. Hugs to you and Pogo... Love, Beth and Cisco.

Not always nice to have rain all day long, but nature sometimes needs it.
Beef stew does need time t get tender, I always like to have it on for about 3 or 4 hours.
Oh, yesterday I was at the market and saw some really cheap appels. I bought a bit more than 1 kilo and made appel-compote with the and gosh, I loved it.
In autumn and winter i like it to be still a bit warm, in summer it can be cool.
I adjusted a handful of raisins and that's a tasty thing.

Hope you appointment with the doctor is just a check up visit?

Your QP is sweet and I like Lola LOL!
And that diet seems to be a good one, isn;t it???????

Well, have a nice day and fun with Janet.
Hugs
Kyra
