Wow! What A Talented Squirrel!!

July 6, 2015

Good morning.  It's another pretty day today, with sunshine and temps getting up into the upper eighties.   Oh my gosh, I'm watching the Weather Channel, and they are showing a video of a water skiing squirrel.  He's in a large pool, and having a fantastic time on his little water skis.  Just awesome!  Here's a couple photos that I borrowed from Google.  His name is Twiggy.  Isn't he just adorable!!

I wonder how one would go about training a squirrel to do something like this?  Hmmm, do you suppose they could be trained to weed the gardens?  Wouldn't that be something!!  We have a lot of squirrels here, but ours mostly just eat, and try to figure out new ways to get inside the house.

I have another cute photo to share.  This is daughter Deanne's little dog Sassy.  She's wearing her patriotic hat and showing off her colors.   You're looking gorgeous Sassy!!

Pogo and I didn't do anything exciting over the weekend.  We mostly lazed about, and watched a bit of TV.  Yesterday I watched the movie "Pretty Woman".  It was just as enjoyable this time as it was the first time I watched it.  I also put a couple more rows on the Country Blue afghan, but it's been a bit too warm to crochet during the day.

We are still being invaded by a large flock of black birds who eat up all the bird food.  I'm not really sure how to get these buggers to move on to a new neighborhood.  We may have to stop putting out bird food for a day or two.  I don't really like doing this because all our other little birdies count on having this food.  Maybe I'll google it to see how other folks get rid of these unwanted guests.

Today, I think I'll start working on my computer room.  It has become a "catch all" room and I haven't been using it for a couple of years now.  I would like to clear it out.  Then I can have fun figuring out what to do with it.

Ah well, Pogo is barking at someone outside, so I think I'll go have a look.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Cute squirrel....not sure how they can be taught to do that. We kept a low profile over the fourth as well, not being one for crowds and loud noises. Today is cool with a rainy morning, so we're hanging inside and planning the trip to Florida and I'll take advantage of the cool weather to do some baking and cooking.

We enjoyed our fireworks from the backyard. Lots going on around us but I hate the traffic and the crowds. We had such a big day Friday for Hannah's birthday that I am still recuperating. It was a lot of fun and we built a fire in Rebekah's new fire pit so the bugs left us alone! Today we have rain and cold. Crazy weather. My hubby works til 9 tonight so I have to go downtown and pick him up. I would be cruel if I made him wait on a bus and take another 45 minutes coming home that late at night. Nick will be my partner. He will ride along with me. I sure hope those Rockies are not in town. Ugh. That would mean traffic and crazy people everywhere! I have to drive right by the stadium. If I go a different route I will hit traffic from the Pepsi Center and Elitch Garden's Amusement Park! A no win situation! During the summer on Wednesday nights the Denver Cruiser's are out and about! There is nothing worse than packs of people on bicycles! Because they obey the traffic laws only half the time and the rest of the time they skate thru red lights and hog the road! LOL! I am not looking forward to Wednesday when I pick him up again at nine. Although if this rainy weather hangs on maybe they will stay home! HeeHee! Silly people and their silly bicycles! I love that squirrel, he is quite the hotshot on his skis! What a great share edna! ALways my pleasure to see you here. Take care. Hugs, Anne

Didn't do any blogreading yesterday. well, sometimes other things come at 1st place, nothing bad, no Jan and I were busy. All written in my blogpost that I will make after this.LOL.
You're photos of the fireworks are surprisinly well! wow, those fireworks are wonderful!
Love the squirrel on his waterski's!!!

Pogo probably just isn;t that hungry when he leaves his hamburger or whatever food you are offering him. My Brodski is about the same. Some days he likes and eats all and at sometimes I just don;t know which food I must give him. Yeah, the only thing he almost always will eat is the very tasty one(for him) like fresh chickenfilet or something.
But no, I will not surrender and buy him that as every day food(not good either), he gets that every now and then a bit!
Okay, time now to write a blogpost and then see what I will do today
Have a wonderful day,
Hugs
