Ooooh, It's Christmas In July!

July 12, 2015

Good morning.  The sun is shining and it's early, so it's not hot yet.  It's really quite nice outside.  In a couple hours, Pogo and I are going to hop in the car and go look at recliner chairs. We've had our breakfast, and I've already gone outside and fed the birds and the squirrels (and the chipmunks too).

Yesterday I watched a program on TV about Tiny Houses.  It was on for several hours, and I watched all of it.  Wow, these little houses are fabulous!  Some of them can be set up as permanent buildings on a lot, and others can be hitched to a truck and pulled along behind you as you travel about.  Some of the bigger ones would need to be moved via a larger truck.   It would take some doing, but I think I could learn to like living in one of these tiny houses.

A little after midnight, I switched over to QVC to see the Today's Special Value item.  Oh my, what a nice surprise I found.  They were featuring an Aviator  Recordable 8 in 1 Wooden Music Center with Bluetooth.

This plays three different speeds of vinyl records, cassettes, CD's, and AM/FM radio.  Plus you can record from the radio, records and tapes to CD or USB thumbdrive.   It's a great way to save all of your favorite music and take it with you to play anywhere.  I just couldn't resist, so I called my friend Santa, and asked if I could put in an early Christmas request.  You know, he's a darling, and said "Of course!"   I can't wait to play with it!!

For those of you who are Amazon Prime members, don't forget to check it out on Wednesday, the 15th.  They are having a special birthday sale for members only on tons of products.  I have a couple items to shop for, but I'll wait until the sale starts.  I'm a very thrifty shopper.

Today I have photos of some of the lilies in our garden.   All the different colors are so beautiful.  I only wish they had a longer blooming season.

Well, Joe finally got up.  He was out in a boat fishing all day yesterday, and it totally wore him out.  Pogo has been waiting by the laundry room door since around 6:30 this morning waiting for Joe to wake up and come feed him his turkey treat.  Now that Pogo has had his treat, he's a very happy little fellow.

Well, it's time for me to get dressed so that we can go furniture shopping before it gets too warm outside.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,

Merry Christmas! Early! What a great present. I have seen those in a couple of the stores. How fantastic for you.

I hope that you and Pogo will find the perfect recliner today. I am sure that he will be happy with what ever you find. I wish that we had new furniture. Lord sakes I am not sure what we would do with it. The boys don't really care as long as they can sit on it and lay on it.

Your lilies are just gorgeous. I really love all of the colors. Just beautiful. I stopped by Kyra's blog this morning and wow... she has some gorgeous flowers too. I missed the spring planting this year. Just have not felt up to it really. Nathan asked if we could get some Venus Flytraps. Hmmm I told him I would check it out. He is so tired of all the mosquitos and so am I.

My Cisco's heart is broken. Miss Edna has spoiled him and he loves his treats. He is out and it will be Wednesday before I can go shopping. Of course he has his greenies and a rawhide bone so he will survive lol. He just goes into "Our" room and looks at the table where he knows where I kept his bag of treats and does this little dance. Too funny!

I am making Mexican Spaghetti today so I better get on with it. It is more work than it appears to be. This is Jonathan's idea of dinner and he even bought all of the ingredients! Can't beat that. Hugs for you and Pogo!! Bye for now, Beth and Cisco.

Oh, you have some beautiful lillies! And I agree, that they should bloom longer, but it´s the way it is.
I LOVE that radio-cd-cassette-record-player which also has possibility to record and even on USB! You are so right to ask Santa to put it on your wishlist already LOL
Hopefully you did find a recliner to your liking, and for a nice price.
And of course you are smart to wait till Wednesday, to go shopping on Amazon. Why would you be a thief of your own pocket?)I don't know if that´s a saying with you too, here we use it and meaning something like: why pay more for an item if you can get it cheaper somehow.
Sale's are great things at times, and I love to find good things with a huge discount, LOL.
Okay, with the weather not too great at the moment(later this week it will be summer again) it is perhaps a good day to do some ironing and vacuuming. I have good intentions, but also hope I will get to it, hahahaha!
Have a wonderfl day
Hug

I saw the tiny houses segment as well on the news. I think they are adorable and it's time this country started thinking about living in something size appropriate. The McMansions with two people in it just kill me...that could house several families easily and seems such a waste of resources to heat and cool it.
Good luck with your chair shopping - having the right chair makes such a big difference.
