I'm Back In Style With My Granny Panties

May 29, 2015

Good morning.  It's a bit cloudy right now, but it's only 6 a.m.  Today is supposed to be warm and sunny again.  I don't think we're going to be getting any rain before Sunday or Monday.  We could use a little of the wet stuff.  Just a little though.

Yesterday, I napped halfway through the day.  Then last evening, Pogo and I went out for a while in the car.  We ended up getting him a hamburger at McDonalds, and an iced coffee for me.   Pogo was oh so happy to be riding in the car again.  I even put the window down so he could stick his head out.

According to the news this morning, Amazon Prime is going to be offering same day delivery for free to members.  Wow!  I'm already quite pleased with the service I get from Amazon, and now this!!  I wonder what other companies will do to top this.

Today, I think I need to get out my hand held vacuum and clean the pollen off the screen on my storm door.  After that, I will need to wash the windows on the door too.  I can't believe how dirty they are.

It's all over the news this morning.  Granny panties are in style again!!  So all you ladies who, like me, never gave them up, are right in style with your undies.  Yeahhhhhhhh!!!

I have a couple more photos from my garden to share.  I'm not sure of the name of the plant in the first photo.  I believe it's a Dutchman's something or other.   The second photo is my pansies.  I know I've shown them before, but I keep picking them and they just keep right on blooming.  They are just gorgeous!!

Well, that's about all my news for this morning.  I've been up for a couple of hours now, so I think a nap is in order.  So, till Sunday, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

Happy to inform you that Cisco and his jacket are really something. He has even decided that he might like the jacket a little more today. He is still hiding tho and more so when he sees me trying to take a picture. How he knows what I am doing is really beyond me.

I have my dishwasher working again, a loose wire and hopefully that is taken care of and a brand new garbage disposal since the other one finally gave out. Well now I have no more excuses as to not clean the dishes hee hee...

I fell yesterday and couldn't get up. It was really a scary feeling. But Cisco saved the day. When I fell my phone flew across the room. He was running back and forth from the door to me and he actually hit my phone and knocked it closer to me. I was able to reach it with the tip of my fingernail, grasping the casing and was able to get the phone to me. I called my daughter and she of course came and decided that I needed to go to the ER. Nothing broken, I am just banged up and sore.
It could have been a lot worse than it was. When I fell, I hit our glass coffee table. Luckily I didn't break it and get cut up. My right shoulder and hip took the worse of the fall and I twisted my ankle but I am able to walk in it. I am using my cane tho and that helps.

Gosh your pansies are so pretty! I will always have a love affair with flowers. The more that you pick of the pansies and petunias, after they start dying off, the more that they will bloom and spread.

We had horrid storms last night. Severe weather moving from the west and colliding with moisture coming up from the Gulf. I am really ready for this to be over. I read that we have had more rain in the last week than we have had since the flooding of 1929 in our area. Yep it is time for it to dry out and I just wish that California, Nevada and Arizona could get some of this rain.

It is lunch time so I will go and find something for Cisco and I to munch on. Then I think that I will do a scrap page or maybe watch a movie for a change. Hugs to you and Pogo and I hope that you don't over do it and rest when you can... Beth

I'm glad to hear that you and Pogo got out for a ride! Your flowers are so pretty; I love the pansies!

Granny panties are the comfortable ones made out of cotton and safer for all the parts they are supposed to be protecting. They're also easier to put on and more comfortable for a wheelchair. Safe and comfortable should always be in style.

laughing) I never gave up my granny panties. I can't go with the strings and strips in your butt. You just as well not waste time putting them on. I wear Hanes cotton panties and they are white. Cotton will let your pores breath and the white is for bleach. I make sure if I get in an accident or sick, I will have on white panties. My mom would always say, wear clean and good underwear just in case you get sick or is in an accident and has to go to the emergency room and someone else has to undress you. (lol)

I love your flowers. Your pansies are just gorgeous. Really all of your plants are gorgeous. My neighbors will come by when I am in the yard and say. it is looking pretty. It seem like I need more, but I doesn't have very much of a front yard and I hadn't started planting in the back yard as of yet. I need to build my deck, but my sister keep reminding me not to come here and try to rebuild this house. (lol) I had to stop cutting the grass because it seem to worsen my pain and I end up in my braces. My son does that for me. I will eventually get there and get everything to my satisfaction. I can tell the owner and the renters he had before I bought the home didn't care too much about the yard. The few shrubbery are what the builders planted. The home was only 9 years old and that should have been enough time for someone to beautify the yard. Then to it's probably better for me to start from scratch and do it my way. It's been so wet, there's not very much I can do.

Don't push yourself too much before you are fully healed. I know just by reading your blog, you are a go getter. I tell you all the time you remind me of my 71 year old sister who get up and go to work everyday. I would be doing the same thing if I wasn't hit hard with daily chronic pain. One thing about pain, you cannot function properly with it. You are doing whatever necessary to get relief. I take pain meds 3 times a day, everyday. No cure means you always have to call on the Lord for relief both ways. 1. for the pain meds not to destroy you and 2. for relief and only he can do it. Osteoarthritis is one bad illness. take care and keep Pogo close by to assist you in getting back healthy again.

Hi there!!!

First, I will give you a link for the plant in your garden(otherwise I will forget)
I think it is this plant, so....http://www.hedging.co.uk/acatalog/I_Shrubs_Cytisus.html.

I am sooooo happy to hear you had a good talk with your doctor with good result and that slowly you are on the mend. So we both have a way to go but there is light at the end of the tunnel LOL.
The worst thing is the appetite to come back. But we will have to eat,to have some muscles back and energy, so we just have to try to find things that appeal to us and hopefully soon real appetite and taste will come back.
Glad als to hear you have rather good weather, that truly helps the healing process.
But don;t overdo, take things bit by bit, take rest if you feel to it, feeling tired is one of the nasty effects of our bug/virus, I guess.
Well, all together we are on the right way and we both will get back completely, aren;t we? LOL.
Big hug
Kyra

What a gorgeous collection of panties!
I absolutely LOVE granny panties - I love the feeling I get wearing them and how pretty they are to look at - and what good is wearing especially pretty panties if nobody sees them?
That's why I modelled and reviewed them on
my blog
and in my YouTube videos
