Happy Mothers Day

May 10, 2015

Good Morning, and Happy Mothers Day.  That goes for all the "fur baby" Moms too.  I wish you a beautiful happy day.

Does it sound like I'm in a better mood?  Oh yeah!  No coughing and choking this morning, so I guess I can safely say that I have definitely moved on to the healing side of this wicked bug/pneumonia thing.  I actually had a pretty good day yesterday, even though I napped a bit on and off.  Of course, that meant that I would not sleep through the night, but that's okay.  I can nap on and off again today.

Last evening, I finished up the Orchid and Buff lapghans and started a new one.  The color of this one is called "Country Basket".  It's a variegated yarn, and is quite pretty.

Today is another gorgeous day here in my little part of New England.  The temps will hit the mid 80'sF, and there is a nice breeze.  It was in the low 60's all through the night, and I was able to keep a window open all night.  Now that was nice!!

My daughter Audrey has been at a taxidermy conference all week, and is due to fly home today.  I'll pray her flight has good weather all the way home.  She is an officer in the association, and works the whole week at the convention.  Travel safely Audrey.

There's not much more news for this morning, but I do have a couple of photos from the little garden outside my door.  Tulips are Springy, cheerful and beautiful.  And these are for all you Moms.  Have a beautiful day.

Now I think I'll mosey on out to the kitchen to find something tasty for breakfast.  Pogo is being quite patient with me, but he keeps looking at me and then at the refrigerator.  That's his way of hinting that he is hungry.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a glorious day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Glad to hear you are starting to feel better, Edna ... this has been a long and hard bought of sickness for you. But, I must say, you sure pushed your way through it all. Mothers are strong and can deal with almost anything. Happy Mother's Day, my friend, you have earning it.

We have a rainy day today which is okay because Mint and I planted a garden and now it is slurping up all of that delicious rain. It would have been nice to have a sunny Mothers Day, but the sun shines from within when you have wonderful children as I do (and as you do :)

My bad news is that Izzi is scheduled for surgery this Friday. We went back and there was little improvement. They did x-rays and said it is an exacerbation of an old injury and there are already arthritic changes in it. So here's hoping they can fix her up so she doesn't have to deal with the pain anymore. Fingers crossed ... I walk her many times a day to help burn off the energy she is not allowed to use in her normal energetic way. She is indeed a sad puppy :(

I don't know if you have noticed, but Lori our MOM Mom has gone away ... she said on a 4 week break, but it has been 6 weeks. Makes me sad when we lose a blogger friend. I sure do hope she is okay and that she will be back with all kinds of fun things to share with us. Sometimes I think about taking a break, but then I never do because I enjoy my blogging friends. Well, Miss Edna ... you and Pogo have a wonderful Mother's Day and go out and soak up some of the sun rays ... Vit.D will help you get well again. Be well ...

Good to hear you are on the mend. Napping and sleeping are part of the healing process, so just go with it and enjoy your snoozing with Pogo.

I have to say that the Country Basket yarn is my favorite so far, and it's really hard to pick because all your yarns are so luscious!

Happy Mothers day and glad you are feeling better. I wish I had your spunk. I am only 64 and sometimes this osteoarthritis and all the pain from it keep me in bed all day. I must say, you are a stepper and you will never let anything hold you down too long. Tap Pogo on the head for me and tell him to hug you for mothers day. (lol) Have a great rest of this wonderful day
