Oh What A Gorgeous Day!!

March 2, 2015

Good morning.  I want to thank everyone for their well wishes.  We arrived safely in Florida, and the girls did too.  I must say though, that the day started rather iffy once we got to the airport yesterday morning.  Once we got to our gate and settled, we were told that our flight would be delayed.  They weren't sure yet how long we would be delayed, but it would be at least a couple of hours.

Well to make a long story short, a couple of hours later we finally boarded our plane and were on our way.  While people were boarding, the pilot finally announced "Folks, if you would move along to your seats so that everyone can board, I would appreciate it.  The incoming weather has started and we'd like to get out of here before it gets heavy.  Thank you."  (folks were standing in the aisles fiddling with their carry on bags and the overhead cabinets.)

That got the fuzzies out of folks and they moved along more quickly.  Soon we were enjoying looking at sunshine and white fluffy clouds against a beautiful blue sky from the windows by our seats.    I took a couple of shots with my phone through the plane window once we were over Orlando.

It was in the upper 70's F once we got to Orlando.  I don't have to tell you how super wonderful that felt.  There wasn't a sniff of snow anywhere.  Another HUGE plus.   Pogo was, of course, a star with many of the other passengers and passers by.  And he travelled like a magnificent little champ.   He got to meet another little Yorkie who was also on the plane to Orlando.  It was a rather good trip for my little guy.

The girls also had a great trip driving down to Kissimmee, and they arrived at the condo a few minutes before we did.  After a quick trip to the nearest supermarket for a few staples, we settled in, had dinner and a great evening chatting together around the table on our screened in porch.

This morning it is 69F with sun and clouds, and should reach the mid 80's in a few hours.  Ah, blessed warmth for these old bones.  My little guy is running around naked as a jay bird, and loving the change of scenery.

This morning, shortly after we woke, there was a visitor right outside our little porch.  Of course we grabbed the cameras and tried to get a few photos.  Andrea, this shot is for you.  Isn't it a beauty?

We will visit the local Walmart later this morning to pick up a few more groceries, but first we'll probably stop by a flea market.  We'll have to pry Joe out of the pool to see if he wants to come shopping with us.  He was up very early this morning, had himself a nice walk and breakfast at a nearby Denny's.  Then he came home, changed into his swimming trunks and headed for the pool.

Well, that's about the news for this morning.  So till tomorrow, Y'all have a really beautiful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Good to hear you arrived safely and to warm weather. I can just picture Pogo running around "naked as a jaybird". He must be in his glory with all the warmth and new smells, sounds and sights.

Nothing like some sunshien and relaxation to make ones day perfect! Don't you just want to grab a whiffle bat and beat those people holding up your flight while they fiddle with their belongings?! Argh.... glad the captain got through to them! LOL! Either that or get off the plane and enjoy a new round of the cold white stuff! LOL! Joe is my kinda guy, I love going out for breakfast. Love it love it love it. Plus the pool sounds refreshing too. enjoy my friend, enjoy!
