I'm Losing My "Countability"

March 25, 2015

Good morning.  Gosh, it's almost noon time.  No I did not sleep all morning, although that sounds like fun.  I've been busy doing a few little things around here. Don't ask me what because it doesn't really look as though I did much of anything.

I did however, crop a few photos to share.  Yesterday I realized that one of the "finished" afghans wasn't really finished.  The Aruba Sea afghan just seemed so much lighter than the others that I finally took a very close look at it and discovered that it needed sixteen more rows.  Now how did that happen?  This getting old is sometimes not so funny!!

So last evening I picked it up and started putting on more rows.  Yeesh!  I know one slows down during old age, but no one ever said anything about losing one's ability to count rows!  Anyway, here's a photo of the Aruba Sea afghan all bunched up on the table.

Yesterday I got a tiny spurt of energy and decided to relocate some of the dust bunnies that live here with me and Pogo.  Folks, don't ever get asthma.  I got about sixty percent of the living room floor vacuumed, and I had to stop.  This is a small room, but it took all my breath and energy to do that little bit.

So after I rested for a few minutes, I put the vacuum cleaner away, shook out the scatter rugs and put them back on the floor and then called it a day.  I'd rather share my space with the dust bunnies and be able to breathe.  Today I'll vacuum another patch of floor and maybe dust the bookshelves.

Today is sunny and warmer.  It's already 46F degrees, headed toward 48F.  We have rain coming tonight and tomorrow.   The temperature range for the next seven days is 42F to 55F degrees.  Shhhh, don't say anything but do you think maybe Spring might be coming our way?   Oh that would be so nice.

I have another cute photo of my little guy to share.  Once I finished with the vacuuming yesterday, he crawled up onto his sofa and snuggled under one of his fuzzy blankets to have a nap.  He likes to lean up against one of the corners when he is napping.  You can see one of his ears poking out. (on the left)   Housework really tires him out!

It's almost time to find something tasty for my little guy's lunch.  So I'll take my leave here.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a beautiful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I am off and running again ... have to take my daughter to PT and I will go to the store while she is there. My grocery list always seems to be long ... why is that?

So you lost count on the rows of your afghan ... join the group. I can really appreciate the frustration, but then I had to chuckle too ... have to laugh at our memory antics or they will get us down.

I love the two ears peeking up over the blanky ... Pogo is the cutest ever. Good for you for catching it. My gang always change positions or leave the premises when they see me coming with my camera.

Our spring is trying very hard to come. This morning the half frozen lake was full of migrating birds.Last night it rained, but there is still snow on the ground and tomorrow it is supposed to be cold again. The cold weather is getting boring ... wish it would go away. It is supposed to be in the 50's today but it is cloudy and windy so it doesn't feel very warm.

I have to run ... sorry for cutting this short, but have to make my daughters appointment and had several interuptions while I was trying to write. I will catch you later :) Be well, Edna ...

I am having issues with time. Last week when I mixed up time for showings. Yesterday I mixed up the time I was to go watch the grands. I am being careful now writing them down.
Do you think your asthma maybe allergy related. You sure have a lot of moisture around you.
I didn't even see his ears in his sofa. He is a little pampered.

Vacuum cleaning can be a hard task to do, I know. And why not split it up and do it in two days? Good thinking!
That "ocean"afghan surely is beautiful. and dont bother you lost count, all ends up well after all.
I can see Pogo was tired after the housework LOL! Our Brodski doesn;t like the vacuum cleaner, whenever I put it in the living room to get ridd of dust bunnies and more, he escapes in a hurry and doesn;t come back into the house untill all is finished. Must be something with the sound of it I guess.
Spring is trying to force its way, but it will take more time here too, nest week temperatures will drop again but then I hope they will go up and stay there and will go up even more!
Have a lovely day.
Hugs

Awwe he is just too cute all snuggled up under his fuzzy blanket. I can see that he was all tuckered out.

Oh I bet that you were really shocked to see all those rows missing from your afghan. I am glad that you caught that before you put it away.

We have rain coming and our high is supposed to be in the 70's or somewhere in that area. Terrible about that tornado in Oklahoma. So sad to hear of it. I think that we have missed spring and have sprung into summer. It was really hot and humid here yesterday. I cannot believe that we have our air conditioning on here in March. We are under high winds advisory until tonight. I could hear it howling during the night.

I didn't get much sleep last night. We have Foxy for a few days and she wanted to stay awake. She had a long nap yesterday and was not interested in sleeping.

I must have spoken too soon about summer being here. I just took Cisco out and it is cold out there. We never know what the weather is going to be here.

I will catch up with you later on today, until then, have a great day! Hugs, Beth

I don't have dust bunnies. Before you feel jealous, let me explain that I have a constant sheen of dust and clumps of fur to be found everywhere.

It's nice to find I'm not the only one with limited memory. If only we could add a memory card to our brain like we can the computer.

I absolutely LOVE his little couch. I wish I had room for something like that in our RV for the kitties. Hmmm. I wonder if I could wrangle something like that up on the dashboard for them...it sure would be cute up there!

His little ears poking up are just precious. He sure loves to snuggle in.
