A Fantabulous Birthday!

November 5, 2014

Good morning.  We are enjoying another absolutely fabulous day here in my little part of New England.  We are promised temperatures in the mid 60's today.  Woo Hoo!!  Yesterday, Pogo and I changed our plans and did not go to the park, but today we will definitely be going.  The sun is shining and there is a teeny breeze that is just calling out for us to come out and play.

First let me thank everyone for their wonderful Birthday wishes.  It feels really good to have so many friends who care.  Gosh, is it any wonder why I love blogging so?  Blogging has given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful folks, and has really enriched my life.

Because Pogo and I decided to stay in, I cooked us a nice steak dinner for lunch.  This is one of Pogo's favorites, and he finished every last sniff on his plate.  I wanted him to have this nice meal early in the day because I knew he would not eat it later when he saw me getting dressed to go out.

Then in the evening, Dee Dee, Eddie, Kevin and Jasmine came by with a beautiful vase filled with flowers.  What gorgeous Autumn colors!

Next they took me out to dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant, Porticellos.   As I mentioned before, our Bobby is the Sous Chef there, and would be cooking most of our meals.    I'm not used to eating in restaurants where the menus have no prices.  However, I have to say that the food was great, and the atmosphere was just wonderful.

Before the desserts were served, Bobby came out to visit for a few minutes.  This really made the whole meal complete.  Isn't he just a handsome fellow?  He's tall so he had to lean way down for this photo.

Next,  our waitress (or maybe I should say "hostess") brought me a delicious dessert with a lit candle, and wished me a Happy Birthday from the establishment.  Oh, how fun!!!

It was an absolutely fantabulous evening.  Thank you so much Dee Dee, Eddie, Kevin, Jasmine and Bobby.  I love you.

When I got home, I was greeted with lots of doggie hugs.  Gosh, does it get any better than this?   Great family, fabulous friends, and an absolutely awesone Pogo.  I am so blessed.

So, that's how my fabulous day was, and I would wish the same happy blessings for every one of you.  Now I'm off to make a cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a super day.

Hugs, Edna B.
