Where Does All The Spam Come From?

August 5, 2014

Good morning.  Tis another beautiful morning.  I have my door open to let in the cool air, but I'll shut it in another hour or so before the outside temps go up.

You know, I don't do well shoving pills down furry babies' throats,  so I always try to get their meds in liquid form.  With Pogo, it's a given.  His meds  would need to be either in a shot or liquid form.  So, I got his antibiotic as a liquid, and let me tell you - what an experience!!

This little fellow barely tips the scale at six pounds (such a fatty!) but he puts up an award winning fight when he sees the medicine dropper coming at his little mouth.  Oooo weeee!  The first time I tried to give him his medicine, I wore it.  The second time, I had to wipe it off him as he drooled it all over himself.   This morning I did much better, with still a little struggle of course.

Over the weekend, I finally finished the navy blue afghan.  Wow, that was the most difficult one for me because of the dark color, but it is really pretty.  Next, I started a new project in lemon yellow.  I'm not sure if it is what I want and I'll have to decide soon.  If I'm not really happy with it, I'll have to rip it all out and start over.

I still have the lavender afghan to finish, but that one is for DIL Janet, so I need the new project to work on the nights she is here.  I also need to look for a pretty medium blue yarn to make an afghan for my grandson to take to college with him next year.  It's good that I'm retired because I still have lots to do.

I found a photo on the web of an afghan  that I made years ago when my kids were young.  It's a good thing that I made it then, because I wouldn't have the patience to make it now.  The afghan pictured here is a twin size, and the one I made was queen sized.

Are any of you getting a ton of spam in your blogs?  For the life of me, it gets really tiring to have to clean it out every other day or so, but it is necessary.   Yesterday morning, I cleaned out almost 1200 spams. That was three days worth.  This morning I have already cleaned out another 344 spams.  Where does it all come from?

I have to go back through all my posts to make sure there is no spam that got by me, because it is time to order another blog book, and I don't want any of the spam in my book.

I meant to post about the new Tamron lens that I got a couple of weeks ago.  It is a 16-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Dill VC PZD MACRO.  So far, I'm quite happy with it.  It has a longer range on it which is good for when I go to Kevin's baseball games.  I'm hoping it's longer range will help me get better bird photos.

Yesterday, I took a photo of the beautiful little green peppers that are beginning to sprout in our veggie garden.  Aren't these just beautiful?

I also took another fun photo that just find it's way onto my next calendar.  This is one of the little bird baths with an interesting tail.  The angle of the two flowers was just right to make this peacock so much prettier.

Enough of my babble.  It's time to close my front door.  The air coming in is getter too warm now, and it's getting near time to figure out something for lunch.  I took a break in the middle of typing this post to visit with my daughter Dee who had stopped by.  Pogo just loves his Auntie Dee!  He "happy dances" all over her when he sees her.

Now it's time to get dressed and start my day.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Mornin'! It's way too humid and warm here to open doors or windows. I've been out feeding my brood of animals and birds and took out the trash and I need a shower...I HATE being sticky...YUCK.
Well, my dryer just finished, so got clothes to hang up and another load of towels to dry then I am finished with the housework for today....think I will gather up my phone and Ipad and laze on the couch to read...(or snooze since I have been up since 4 a.m.)! At least all the furbabies inside are asleep and I think all the full ones outside have found a nice shaded spot too!
Love all the photos, especially that gorgeous afghan of lots of color! Sunny yellow is the best happy color for one, but I am sure you need to put some other color with it to make it not so boring for you to look at while making it....LOL!
Good day to you and Pogo and have a nice rest of the week. Got to get busy...hugs, Mat

I'm sorry, 1200 spams in your blog??? I get one every couple of weeks if that. You must have hooked up with something outrageous ... maybe you should have your techy friend look into that. I agree ... you don't want spam in your books, good grief!

We had a good rain yesterday and as a result it was cooler here today ... but also muggy. I think that muggy is worse than the heat and so does Izzi. She heads for the house after one round of five frisbees. I do like the cooler temps though ... it would be nice if they stayed around after the humidity goes down.

Boy you really have a flare for those afghans. You are not only cranking them out, but I am impressed with the one you made for your kids ... in a queen size. I'm thinking that had to be pretty difficult, yes?

Well have to cut this short. I need to cut kitty nails and have to do it while the sun is still out so I can see well enough to know what I am cutting. You have a nice day, Edna ... I'm loving that you are retired now. Isn't it nice? And well deserved :)

I am not yet back into my usual rythm yet, at the computer LOL!
Oh, it will come, but takes a bit of time.
You have plenty to do, it looks, so you probably won;t miss the work all too much.
Love that bird bath.
We have lots of visitors in our little pond and I just love it.
So much more fun to have a little animal life in a garden.
Well, I'll try to get a new post done on my blog, and then perhaps get some resources back and also have to do some other things today. So on that happy note I wish you a wonderful day.
Hug

I'm not sure where to even look for the spam...I'll need to check that out.
I love your little bird bath - very sweet.
I can only make dishclothes, can't even imagine making an afghan much less an entire bedspread! You have much more patience than I do.
