Our Boys Didn't Win, But We're Very Proud Of Them

July 15, 2014

Good morning.  It's a bit cloudy this morning, and today's high temperature will be around 81.  Tomorrow should be more of the same.  Both days, we are expecting scattered thunder storms; and at the moment, the Weather Channel is posting flash flood alerts for our area through tomorrow afternoon.

Yesterday was a day of rest.  I did, however, clean up another large pile of paper goods, filling up one bag with recycles and another smaller bag with shredables.  When the shredable bag gets a little bigger, I'll sit down and shred everything in it.

Last night Kevin's baseball game was in Oxford, quite a distance from here.  They needed to win this game and the next to win the state championship.  Mother Nature was not cooperating and it started raining way before Dee, Eddie and Kevin got to Oxford.  However, unless there was thunder and lightning, the game would be played.

And play, they did.  Around the fourth inning, our boys were down by eight runs but then they made quite a comeback and tied the game up.  This game started between 7 and 7:30 p.m. and did not finish until after midnight.  The teams played in extra innings until finally our team lost 12 to 11.  Guys, you did a fantastic job this year.  Kevin, I'm so very proud of you.

I have a couple more photos of boats from our trip to Plymouth Harbor.  The first photo is the CAPT. JOHN & SON tourist boat, and the second photo is an adorable little boat that reminds me of a little wind-up toy boat from yesteryear.

This morning, I'm going to give Pogo a bath with an olive oil shampoo.  He's been itchy all over since his grooming, and I'm hoping that the shampoo will get rid of the itch.  First, I'll shut off the A/C so that Pogo doesn't catch a cold.  After that, I think I'll call and make him an appointment for his yearly checkup and any shots that are due.

Well, that's all the news for today.  It's time to make my morning coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

G'morning! Thanks for stopping by and visiting! I love it when friends drop in!
So happy you got to the ocean and love the photos you have shared. It reminds me of Inner Harbor and Havre de Grace areas when we visited them. Glad your weather is cooperating. We hit 101 yesterday without and indices added. The front came through mid afternoon with some wind and a couple of small showers for us, trees and electricity poles down for others. The temps here today are to stay in the low 90's but promises of more scattered showers and lower temps for Wednesday. Thursday is supposed to be a RAINY day dropping between 1-3 inches of must needed rain. I just hope we get them.
You and Pogo have a marvelous day and do something fun again soon. Hugs to both of you!

Nice little boats. I hope Pogo feels less itchy after his shampoo.

Pity for Kevin's team! But you cannot win them allevery time. Still they did a wonderful job, I think.
Boats are maing you dream sometimes, love to see boats.
We had one little boat of about 11 mtrs. long, quite some time ago, my father really liked it as all of us. We did spend lots of weekends there, it was big anough to sleep, think we had about 6 possible "beds.
And we did make little tours on some of the canals and little lakes, great!
Hope Pogo will not stuggle too much when having his bath. And that he will itch a bit less after it.
Have another fun day!
Hug
