Friday Night's Moon Was Simply Magnificent!

July 13, 2014,

Good morning.  Well, Pogo and I haven't really done very much these past two days, but somehow we were busy most of the time.  Friday, Pogo went to a new groomer,  and he's looking quite spiffy now.

Later in the day, we went to watch Kevin's baseball game.  This is my handsome little guy with his new "do".   A group of kids playing nearby has caught his attention.

Friday night, just as we got home from the game, I caught a glimpse of the moon.  It was big and round, and just glorious.  So I turned the car around in my driveway and went down the street a bit to get a better view of this magnificent moon.  It was worth it!!

Yesterday, we made it out to the Post Office to mail off some boxes of new clothes to Laura Jean.  We did not make it to the ocean all week, and I thought we might go after leaving the Post Office, but for some reason I was feeling a bit weezy.  So, we went home and had us a nice restful day.

In the afternoon, I took a few photos of some of the flowers in the garden.  Sad to say, things aren't growing as well this year, but still there are quite a few beautiful blooms.

Last night I put a few more rows on the turquoise afghan.  Just nine more rows to go till it is finished.  The afghans don't seem to work up as quickly in the hot weather.  The crochet hook sticks to my fingers and the yarn feels heavy.  But, I persist and little by little I am getting all my projects done.

Today we are definitely going for a ride somewhere.  Hopefully to the ocean, but at least to somewhere.  I got up at five o'clock this morning and made our breakfast early.  Pogo doesn't seem to be overly excited about his breakfast.  Of course not.  It's dog food.

Well, that's my news for this morning.  Now I'm going to enjoy my cup of coffee and catch up on some blog reading.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Good Sunday morning to you and Pogo! It is already too warm for me, but got to go out and put out some bird feed and some "critter" food for the squirrels and bunnies too! I especially need to replenish the water supply...this humidity and triple digit heat and southerly winds don't take long for it to evaporate or get too warm. I even put out ice cubes to quickly melt in the water...LOL!
Last evening and the one before, the moon was so big, so round, so bright and lovely, I should have tried taking photos, but I didn't, just looked at it a lot, it was even prettier very early (4:30 a.m.) when I got up this morning.
Your flowers are so lovely, thanks for sharing photos of them, my hibiscus is really showing off this year with gorgeous blooms. Sure wish I had a hydrangea, but guess I will wait to see if this duplex sells and I move or not before I plant one, yours is gorgeous.
Mr. Pogo looks terrific with his new do and seems to be enjoying being outside with all those kids. Glad you are almost through with the afghans and I think you should celebrate with a Sam Adams, have you tried the summery lemon tasting one? It is so good really ice cold on a HOT day...LOL!
Well, off here so I can get up and move around before I get too stiff to move..hope you get by the beach and have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs, Mat

Pogo looks so handsome with his summer cut - very spiffy.
The moon hot is gorgeous. It was too overcast and cloudy here to see it last night. I'll check again tonight.
Your blooms are lovely, this is one of my favorite times for flowers as I love the lilies, astilbes and things blooming away right now.

Pogo looks great, although I must say I love to see him better with a bit more hair LOL.
Still it's good thing to hve the cut done once in a while and certaily when it is getting so warm.
Did Kevin's team win the game?
Whatever the result was, Pogo likes to be around people and is very interested in all the things happening around him, I can see.
Well, you just take it easy, and perhaps you can find another spot not too far away from home to linger a bit and where the weather might be just nice, ntoo hot and sticky.
Bye, bye
Hug
