A Magnificent Monday

July 21, 2014

Good morning.  Today is looking to be another fabulous day to be outdoors.  Yesterday, our plans got changed because little bits of life got in the way, and then by noon my body was calling for some desperately needed sleep.  And sleep I did.

Today, God willing and the creek don't rise, Pogo and I are planning to meet up with Deanne and the kids at the park to feed the ducks and geese.  I've charged up my camera batteries for both cameras, and I'm hoping to get some super photos.  Well, at least that's the plan for now.

I've mentioned before about the different bird families that we enjoy watching in our yard.  Yesterday, I got a few photos from the kitchen window of a proud Papa Cardinal feeding his young.  The Papa caught sight of me in the window, and wasn't too thrilled.

I just had to take a photo of the young female because she was so darn cute just standing there looking all around.

It's taking me quite a while to type this post because Pogo is climbing all over me, wanting to play.  I keep stopping to play with him because he gets quite pushy if I don't.   For now, he has decided to watch the TV for a few minutes while I finish up here.

So, on that note, I'll take my leave.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh the feline cousins of the canine furbabies are the same way with "attention NOW, Mommy!" Bossy means they are happy and confident and we should listen to them because they make us look like great people. :)

I hope plans go as planned toda. Enjoy the day and family time!

Hugs, Nani

That male cardinal is doing a very good impression of "angry bird".

Lovely, that cardinal family.
Great you had a good sleep, and hopefully you will have a wonderful day in the park.
LOL, Pogo knows to get your attention in all kind of ways.
But how can you resist at the end? Right, we mostly don;t if our pets really want something of us!!

OOh the birdie shots are so sweet! I meant to say how cleever that hanging garden was too. Love it! Good news for Nick! He was accepted to the Kansas Wesleyans! Yeaaaaaa! Seven hours from our house to the college campus! I am so grateful he is going there. The coach is doing back flips and he has some young runners that are tickled Nick is joining them! I won some tickets, a 4 pack to Elitch Gardens a local amusement park with a water park. I think the hubby and I will let the kids go. He has a milestone birthday tomorrow! So we will enjoy a nice lunch together! I also won a cookbook on another blog. I think we did buy a lotto tonight for the mega millions! LOL
