I-Phones Being Held Hostage

May 28, 2014

Good morning.  Tis a wee bit damp and gray this morning.  During the night we had a thunderstorm, but it did not last too long.  When the thunder started rolling around, Pogo got up and walked around barking at the noise a bit, then got back into his little bed and went to sleep.

This morning, though, he was on me bright and early (6 a.m.) to get up and play.  He has a new hobby.  Most mornings, around 5:45 a.m., he sits by the laundry room door in hopes of seeing Joe and getting an early morning snack.  That's about the time that Joe gets his lunch from the refrigerator and leaves for work.  So far, Pogo has managed to get one morning treat.

I'm watching on the news about the I-Phones being hacked and held hostage.  I-Phone owners (in Australia) are being asked for $50 and $100 to get their phones unlocked.  This is just amazing.  Is it any wonder that I do not believe in doing my banking and paying my bills via my cell phone?  Not on my computer either.  Phones are hacked or stolen and PC's crash every day.  I'm old fashioned, and like a little more stability and control.

Yesterday, Joe got the lawn tractor going and mowed the lawns.  We even brought out some of the lawn furniture.  This weekend, we are hoping to go shopping for a new weed whacker, and I'd like to look at some fencing to make a yard for Pogo.  My little guy loves to run in the grass.

Today I have some sayings to share that were found on the web.  My favorite is the last one.  Through all my life ups and downs, He has always been there to see me through things.  I have so much to be thankful for.

Yesterday, I gave the dust bunnies a reprieve and spent the day doing laundry and making sure all  the scatter rugs were washed.  Today though, I'll have to weed out some of the bunnies.  Yuk, yuk, yuk.

Well now it's time to get started on this new day.  I want to finish my chores this morning so that I can spend the afternoon working on the afghan.  It is more than half done and looking really pretty.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Good morning Edna and Pogo! Sorry have been MIA, Last Tuesday was my birthday, but the celebrations of lunch and/or breakfast went on for 5 days, so I did not get much done on my computer, then the weekend came and I took a friend to the Botanical Gardens for the first time and I had a mishap with a missed step and kissed the pavement pretty hard and scratched my glasses. I spent a couple of days with arm and leg elevated and iced down so no playing on the computer again, then I had a couple of plugs decide to quit working (in both bathrooms) that required an electrician and the realtor and finding papers, etc...just no time to spend blog reading and commenting....but, I think all that is over so trying to catch up. Gorgeous photos and I adore Pogo's afghan. The white Iris is simple beautiful as are all your other flowers. No rain that was promised us, just a trace so will have to water the lawn and plants this evening. Off, to do a little more catching up. Y'all have a wonderful day! Hugs, Mat

You're not the only one that is suspicious about doing banking on line!
I am doing payments the old fashioned way too, but banks and companies are trying to disencourage you doing so(as well as paying vash in shops etc), but as long as I can I will hold on to the old paperwork concerning payments.
Pogo is a smart guy, isn;t he? Our pets do know our habits and can plan it to be in the neighbourhood when there is something tasty to catch!
Hope you can have a bit of time out in the garden and relax after chasing dust bunnies ROFL.
Hugs

I keep wondering when my turn will come up as we do everything on line. With this kind of mobile lifestyle it's just easier to do this. We've had some minor mishaps such as a credit card being used and had to cancel it and get a new one, but nothing too earthshaking.
