Today is A Great Day For Shopping

April 24, 2014

Good morning.  It's only 3 a.m., but seeing as how I fell asleep early I guess I'm up for a while now.  I really hope that it doesn't rain today because we are going looking for that fabric and craft super store.

My shopping list includes yarn for the next couple of projects, and a couple of miscellaneous items.  (needle, etc)   I also have to pick up some yarn for DIL Janet's next project.  This should be a fun shopping experience.

I'm hoping to get these new lilac bushes planted today too.  Right now, they are sitting in my laundry room.  If it's not too windy today, I'll put them outside again.  This weekend, we need to get some of the new bulbs into the ground too.  Plus, it's almost time to set up the lawn furniture and the barbeque.

It's supposed to rain a few days next week so this will be a good time to spread some of the new grass seed. I bought some of the "Grassology" grass seed.  It's supposed to be drought resistant which will be good when those wicked hot days of summer get here.  That's usually when we have to cut back on outdoor water use.

Today I'm sharing a couple of cute images (from the web) that were sent to me by friends.  For some reason, the little guy in the first one reminds me of Pogo.  The second image is just downright funny.

There's really not much news for today so I think I'll take my coffee and curl up in my lounge chair and crochet for a while.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Cute dog photos - it's a good day for working with yarn - kind of rainy and cool here...now in Wisconsin again. Aaaah. There's nothing like setting up in a mist, which is much nicer than in a downpour.

The two pictures gave me a good chuckle...I especially liked the last one.

Enjoy your day of shopping. I still have to get my crocheting out. It's still not cold enough at night to be working with the wool.

We have been so lucky with our weather I wouldn't mind if the winter was like this. The days are in the low 20's and the nights are not too cold so we don't need to have a heater on yet.

That's the bad part of falling asleep early, you wake up in the middle of the night.
Perhaps a bit later you still can take an houror two of sleep!
If it's not raining for a while try to put your lilacs into the ground. They will like some rain after being planted.
Have lots of fun with yarn shopping, I am sure you will let us see what colors you have bought!
Hugs
Kyra
