Such Good News Today!

March 21, 2014

Good morning.  Today is sunny and is supposed to be a nice warm day.  The temps forecasted are 43F for today, 54 for tomorrow and 45 for Sunday.  Monday we'll be back to wintry cold temps.  Soon though, Winter will have to give in and go away.

Do I have good news?  Oh my, yes.  My youngest grandson, Kevin, made the Varsity Baseball Team for his high school.  (Kevin is Jasmine's brother)  Kevin, I love you and I'm so very proud of you.  The other piece of good news is that Joe has won a paid day off from work.  His boss has a "count the jelly beans in the jar" contest every year and the winner gets a paid day off.  Congratulations Joe.

All this good news is such a great way to start Spring.  Sometime today or tomorrow I will take a walk around the yard to look for any new green sprouts.  Last year, we planted some new bulbs, so I can't wait to see what comes up this year.  I also want to go plant shopping soon to get an idea of what is available for Spring planting.

I had high hopes of what I would accomplish yesterday, but alas I did not do much of anything on my list.  I'm not really sure what I did do all day, but I was busy.  Well, I did wash a few dishes.  Today I will at least do some food shopping, and maybe a load of laundry.

Last night, I watched my favorite program, Project Runway, and was so sad to see my favorite designer eliminated.  I do think that there was a bit of unfair politics involved in the judging, and I hope that they bring her back on a future show.

Today's photos are some of the "feel good" images that my friends find on the web and send to me via email.  The topic here is love and friendship, and should put a big smile on your face.

That's it for my babbling.  I think I'll put that load of laundry in the washing machine right now before I find an excuse not to do it today.  I am so good at procrastinating!  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Thanks for the feel good photos - you can never go wrong with animals and their little ones. I love the cat sleeping on the dog - that was purrrfect.

I have to laugh ... how many times have I set out to get xy and z done and end up empty handed. Like you, I can never explain what it is that I did that kept me from doing what I had planned to do ... but there it is, all waiting for me to do it, tomorrow, right? How many tomorrows do you think I can get away with ... one of these days it is all going to catch up with me.

Congrats to Kevin ... that is quite a big deal and very exciting for him, I am sure. Also, good for Joe ... a day off is a wonderful thing. A day off with pay, well, what can I say. I would say he deserves it. I know he works hard around your place so time for a break.

I love animal pictures and these are adorable. Your friends seem to have quite a good source. Keep them coming, Edna, we love them.

I went out to lunch (yes, again) with my friend and we ate at a Deli. Oh the food is so good there and there is nothing like a good deli pickle (burp!:( Now I have to bring an end to all of this wining and dining ... yes, and get back on my Switzerland diet. I know I have said that before, but it never seems to happen. But, hopefully since my Birthday is finally past, I will be able to stick with it. You have a nice evening Edna and loves to that little guy from Izzi the fluff ball. It amazes me how fluffy she gets after a bath and oh so soft ... I love it.

Isn't it waonderful that bit by bit, we can see that spring really will come in soon?
It will take some more time to see all the seeds and bulbs Jan planted in the garden gibng some sign of "life"but a few already do!
And he also has some seeds here in the room and this morning I saw a few tiny little green "things'above the soil!
Dpo that laundry and you will feel real good today LOL!
And then you are allowed to do things you really like to do.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for those fantastic photos from the web, they are so adorable!
