Brrrr, It's Too Cold For Spring!

March 24, 2014

Good morning.  The sun is shining big and bright, but the air is cold, cold, cold.  It was only 16F degrees when I left work this morning.  This is not my idea of Spring!  It is only 18 degrees now.  We have a storm warning for Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.

We are supposed to have snow showers tomorrow, and maybe more throughout the night and Wednesday?  Who knows!  I'll wait to see what the weatherman has to say tonight and tomorrow morning.  Unless it warms up a bit, I will just hibernate this week.  This coming weekend is supposed to be warmer, but with a bit of rain.  Go figure!

I went outside this morning before daylight to get a photo of the moon.  It was so bright that it was just begging to be photographed.

I've also started to go through some of my Florida photos.  Here's a couple that I thought were quite pretty.  The first is a group of palm trees that rather intrigued me.  They look sort of royal.

This next is a photo of the clouds that came in right after I took the photo of the palm trees.  These clouds look like they really mean business!

Well, I've made breakfast for Pogo and myself, finished my coffee, and caught up on some of my blog reading.  Now I think I'll put on my jammies and crawl under my cozy flannel blanket and maybe catch a few winks.   I have a lot of dusting to catch up on but it will just have to wait a bit longer.  My dust bunnies are in no hurry to leave anytime soon.

That's my news for this morning.  Pogo is already curled up in his little bed, so it's time for me to get moving.  Till  tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh my, what settings did you use to capture that gorgeous moon shot. When it is dark out, my camera always gives me a hard time and I have tried several different settings, but rarely do I get a shot like that without a tripod. Great job, Edna.

We are supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow, so it is probably our snow that is coming your way. It is still cold here as well, but not in the teens ... it is 24 degrees now. I am so busy with getting things gathered for my pick up next week. I have pulled things out of closets and I am throwing away and stashing in big bags for give away.

We are gong to have some major changes around here in the next few months. I can't talk about it yet, but I am excited and it is all good news. Just a little teaser ... feel free to guess :)No hints just yet :) ... am I bad, or what!

I have a dentist appointment this morning ... not my favorite thing to do, but it is just a cleaning so hopefully if all is well I won't have to go back for 6 months. Fingers crossed :)

I upgraded to Google + and I haven't seen any changes in anything except I am having trouble linking to meme's that aren't hosted by a Google blog. That is going to _____ me off if they are blocking them because I have a lot of followers that are not Google and shouldn't have to be. Anyway, my techy friend is going to come over and see if she can figure it out.

Better get going ... I need to shower before I go to the dentist and time is a flyin' as always. You have a nice restful Monday, Edna and you can always hope that the snow storm peters out over Chicago and never makes it out to you ...

Good Morning! Glad you are home safe and sound, I have been remiss this past week with my blog reading, been so hectic around here. Thanks for stopping in....I think I got caught up with you and Pogo too. Love your photos especially that one of the moon.
I did hear that you will be receiving snow tomorrow and next day...bummer. I think winter does NOT wish to leave this year. We had a snap over the weekend again and was 39 this morning, but we are heading to 80 by the end of the week. The rain that was forecast never got here, but they are saying Wed and Thurs we should expect some. We are so dry and need it. Hope you do not have to suffer much more of the cold and wet snow.
I still feed and give shelter to those feral kitties, they are just out back behind my privacy fence (that I have locked) and I feed before and after the animal shelter is open....and pick up any evidence of feeding after they eat. Only think left to view is their little condos and water...so let them try stopping me now...mean old grouchy neighbors.
Thanks for the kind comments and I do enjoy the photos you have shared from the web...wish humans could take to heart how animals get along and try to do the same!
Have a great week ahead and give Pogo some hugs from me. Chat more next time. Hugs to ya! Mat

Oh the palm trees are so pretty! I just love them! :) The story clouds are just awe-striking!

I’ve been taking photos of my first crocus; I have a bunch of the yellow ones budding now, every day to watch its progress. It’s at a stand-still now. When I photoed it today it was 22 degrees and even with the sun right on it, it wasn’t opening into a full bloom yet.

I’ll probably post some of the flower bus tomorrow. I hope the scratchy chest I’ve had hit and miss today doesn’t make it to a full out sinus thing. It’s too cold for allergies, isn’t it??

Here’s hoping it gets warmer soon, National Weather is predicting it, but I’ve become a skeptic!

Hugs, Nani

Brrrrr, temperatures in your area are eally not nice.! I truly hope there will not be more snow!
Here it's allright with the weather. A bit fresh, but lots of sun. And if all coes as it should, end of the week and also next week temperatures will rise again to higher level!!
Those palmtrees are awesome!
And what a clear shot of the moon! Gosh, you must have been a happy girl LOL!
Take your time under the blanket, take some winks and the dust bunnies will not awake you, I am sure, grin!
