I'm Turning Into A Cough Drop

January 13, 2014

Good morning.  Well, I did call the doctor this morning, and he will see me this afternoon.  I would much rather have gotten a morning appointment, but it was not to be.  I will be so glad when this cold bug is finally gone by.  My mid section hurts so from coughing  I've gone through several bags of cough drops, and I have been taking "Nature Fusion" cough syrup but neither seems to stop the cough.

I feel so bad about not being able to get out and take photos.  Each year, I try to set a goal of taking at least one new photo every day, but then life has its own ideas.  I suppose though, that this is what makes life interesting.

So, instead, I went into my photo archives and pulled out a couple of photos of the colors of Spring.  With all the bad weather everywhere, these should feel like eye candy.

On a positive note, Spring is only a couple of months away.  In another month it will be time to start getting ready for some indoor planting.  I don't usually have much luck when I plant seeds in the little starter pots, so this year I'm going to try planting seed balls.  What can possibly go wrong with seed balls?  Don't answer.

While I'm typing, I'm also on the phone with my RX plan.  Hopefully, they will be mailing my meds out soon so that I can keep on breathing.  I could pick these same meds up right down the street at the local Walmart pharmacy, but they would cost me so much more.  It's amazing how meds cost so much more when picked up in person.  The same meds mailed to you cost only half as much or less.  Interesting.

Well that's it for now.  Till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Well, I guess that tells you how much Walmart it taking off the top ... and they say they have the best prices. How did you arrange for the mailed meds ... just curious.

I love the spring colors ... everything is so white or gray around here. I was beginning to forget that our world can be colorful. We have been in the forties the last two days ... it feels so warm I can go out with only a sweatshirt on ... doesn't last long though. All I have to do is remind myself that it is only 40 degrees and I start feeling the cold. Good time to stay in I say ... if only I had that choice:)

I hope your doctor can do something for you. He can at least give you something for the cough. I cough a lot too, but it is the asthma/cold air combination that is doing it. If you have a virus, and I suspect you do, there isn't much he can do but give you antibiotics to prevent a secondary infection ... Mostly rest, vitamins, fluids and more rest will get you through it.

I love your heading ... I'm turning into a cough drop. I know that feeling. I have cough drops in every pocket and at my beside at night. I don't cough all of the time, but when I start, it is hard to stop it. The cough drops seem to work which tells me my throat is irritated ... though it is not sore. Anyway ... be careful what color cough drops you eat. If you are turning into a cough drop do you want to be red, yellow or blue :) I am off to the shower and on to do errands. Be well, Edna ...

I hope the doc gave you something better for your cough than over-the-counter stuff. I’ve had the nasty cough colds that seem to never go away and I can empathize with that mid-section pain. :(

I like your archive pics and if you have to be sick BEFORE Florida time is much better!

I hope things work out your way with the scrips!

Rest, relax and be even better tomorrow, my friend!
Hugs, Nani

Coughing all the tie is hopeless and yes, the mid section of your body let it feel to you. Sure hope the doc will have a great medication for you, it has to be stopped now. You have had colds for more than long enough now!
The cough can be from just the cold, but also can be caused by too much slime in the lungs. I had that one time I had a real bad cold, but toether with my COPD, it seemed. I got crazy by that couching specially at night, couldn;t sleep. My doctor then prescribed Fluxitide and that helps a lot. After I got rid of the cold, I had to keep on using this inhale medication, twice a day. It is doing great things for me, May be you could ask your doctor about it? You shouldn;t use it without advice from a doctor you know!
Lucky I get it paid by my health care insurance, cause I couldn;t afford it to pay all by myself!
Oh yes, we should slowly start planting seeds again inside. Well, sometimes we are lucky and sometimes they do nothing. Always a surprise, but fun!
Have a good and great day.
