We've Had Our First Snow Of The Season

November 13, 2013

Good morning.  There's nothing special happening around here.  Although, thank goodness for that.  For some reason, this past week I have not been feeling up to par.  Pogo and I have been watching "Peep And The Big Wide World" on TV.    It has just enough excitement for us right now.

Actually, yesterday we did have a bit of excitement here.  It snowed!!  Don't get me wrong.  I am not looking forward to more snow.  But, when it comes in one door and right out another, then I like it just fine.  This snow came on with a bluster, and then left just as quickly without leaving any traces of it on the ground.

I did take my camera outside to get a few photos.  Aren't these pretty?

Today there is no snow but the Artic cold is still here with us.  I may have to break down and buy a new winter jacket this year.  I am so used to just wearing a sweat jacket/hoodie but it may not be enough this winter.    The jacket that I've been wearing during the coldest parts of Winters past has lost it's zipper.  Hmmm, now how does a jacket lose it's zipper?  Ah well, it's time to retire that jacket.

There really is no news for today.  So, I think I'll go out and check the mail.  After that I'll get busy working on tonight's supper.  That's my day in a nutshell.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I am still chuckling about your dream ... that is not a bad idea, you know. Dream that you have gone shopping and it won't cost you a cent. My husband would love it if that was the kind of shopping I did. You are such a stitch :)

I like your idea, though, of giving to those who can't afford it. There are many of those families around these days ... Sadly in this land of plenty. I get really frustrated when I think of the direction our country has taken ... I'm turning into an old crab ... so my daughter tells me. Hmmmm ... need to find ways to do some good and feel better about things. I guess I really miss my nursing ... it always made me feel like I was doing my share.

Izzi and I have class tonight. She had an "adjustment" today, so I gave her a baby aspirin because she is always a little sore after she has been adjusted ... How many dogs do you know that have their own chiroprator :) ... She needs it, not only because of the agility, but because she throws her self around without abandon when she plays Frisbee. So then, while I was there I found out she is getting fat again ... too much lovin going on in this house. Oh my ... can't seem to ever get it right.

Well, Edna, have to go get some food on since I will be leaving soon. You have a nice relaxing evening and I will check in tomorrow.

The kind of snow you had, quickly in and out, I wou;dn't mind either too much. As long as it doesn;t covers the soil and streets and becomes a blurry mess, it always looks nice. But can be dangerous too, So the quick one is good LOL!
Yes, go and buy yourself a new winterjacket. You should treat yourself now with something really for yourself and I think this is a good idea.
Hope you find one nice and comfy and warm and for a small price too(always the nicest kind of shopping LOL).
Hey girl, take care of yourself, hopefullyyou will feel better tomorrow!
Hugs
