'Twas A Great Night For Flying

November 1, 2013

Good morning.  Phew!  Such a fabulous ride Pogo and I had through the night!  It's long and lately a bit tiring, but oh so invigorating.  We hit a lot of rainy and quite windy patches along the way, but for the most part the weather was good for flying.  The best part of the ride is meeting up with friends that we haven't seen since last year's ride.

Kyra, we think we spotted you, and we waved.  I hope you could see us.  Mat, we waved as we passed over your area too.  The not so fun part was getting a glimpse of the damage from all the flooding in a few areas.

Around 3 o'clock this morning, we headed on back home because we are expecting rain and high winds here for most of today.  I have to tell you that Pogo had the most wonderful time, and he made new friends with a couple of black kitty cats.  Right now, he is curled up on the sofa snoring away.

Yesterday was quite a busy day, but I did manage to get all my errands slated for the day finished.  The most fun came when we went to the Registry of Motor Vehicles so that I could renew my drivers license.  I brought Pogo in with me, in his stroller.  Well, let me tell you he was the belle of the ball.  Everyone had to come over to pet and fuss over him.  Even the employees came by to play a bit with him.  It turned out to be a fun time.

I got the nicest surprise in my email yesterday.  Kyra made me another gorgeous scrapbook page that featured a photo of Pogo and one of our lady dwarfs.  It's just beautiful, Kyra.  Thank you so much.  You certainly put a huge smile on Helen's face!!  The layout was made with Kyra's "Moonlight Mist" kit, which you can find on her blog in the September Archives.

I also have a fabulous photo of my granddaughter Jasmine in her Zombie Dorothy costume for last night's trick or treating.  Jazzy girl, you did a magnificent job with the makeup and your costume!!  Even with the make over, you're still very beautiful.

In case no one has noticed, October is gone by now, and it is November already.  This would be a good time for everyone to get busy on their holiday cards and shopping.  I have a feeling that December is  going to get here before we're ready for it.  Meanwhile, here's my calendar page for November.

Well now I think I'm going to make myself a nice hot cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  Then I'm hoping to fall asleep for a few hours.  My eyelids are beginning to get a bit scratchy from being out all night.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween, and for those of you who will be celebrating tonight, I wish you a howling good time.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

We saw you and waved back, you were pretty high up! :) Thanks for thinking of us...we all snuggled in for the evening around 10 and slept through till 4:30. Felt so nice and rested this morning...got the rest of stuff in office boxed and by the door, not in my car yet, but I am down to one box that will have to stay with me until all the final bills are paid and the bank account closed. Whew, I am tired, think I will join my "girls" for a quick nap....LOL!
Nice surprise from Kyra and lovely too!
Have a terrific weekend ahead! hugs, Mat

It sounds as if you had fun flying through the night skies.

Halloween is gathering momentum here in Australia but we didn't have any visits from any goblins, ghouls or spooks last night.

Love you and Pogo on your Halloween card. Great photo of your granddaughter too.

You have a well deserved rest today, sounds like you need it.

Hugs

Well, I hope you were able to rest those weary old witch bones. It had to be grueling out there, if our weather was any indication. I hope you had Pogo bundled well. I am assuming that he didn't notice the weather because he was having so much fun ... Did you by chance take any pictures? Just asking ...

Our Halloween was a bust at least for the kids. It was pouring so we had only two groups of kids come to the door. The parents were driving them to help, but they were still soaked. Anyway, now I have a bowl full of candy to do away with. It gets harder and harder to walk past it ... I keep thinking, well, I could have just one. Ha! You know how that goes right? Maybe I will take it with me to Izzi's trial tomorrow and hand it out to everyone ... but, of course, they are all probably thinking the same thing, so we will end up with a ton of candy. No hope for the diet this weekend:(

My buzzer just went off. I have to turn the steaks and then start fixing other things to go with it. Sorry to have to cut things short. I will be gone all weekend, so probably won't see you until Monday. I missed your contribution to Queen Jesters Challenge ... I was wondering what funny version you would come up with, but then remembered that you were out on your broom last night, so it wasn't going to happen ... Next week, right? Have a good weekend Edna and loves to Pogo.

Jasmine looks super!!!
It's good to take Pogo with you to as many things of offices and so on where you have to do business. It may help that you are well services and in time too, all because of that cute guy !!
You take it easy today, have a nice sleep and lots of fun!
