Bake A Bone?

June 2, 2013

Good morning on this very beautiful, sunny and warm morning in my little part of the world.  I do believe I am on the mend, and Pogo is feeling so much better too.  I'm actually beginning to feel human again.

The heat these past days has forced all the buds on my yellow rose tree to bloom.  I asked Joe to cut a couple of the roses for me because I'm not tall enough to photograph them on the tree.  Have a look at these beauties.  Oh, they smell soooooo good too!

My "Kerri" rose bush just outside my door is also loaded with little white blooms.  This bush blossoms every two years.  When it was new, it was a yellow rose bush.  Then it reverted to root stock, but it is still very beautiful, and it smells wonderful.

I think I'll also post these on Mandarin Orange Monday.  Aren't these just beautiful?  They are a constant reminder of what a beautiful person my Kerri was.

The other day, I switched the TV channel just in time to catch the end of a commercial for "Bake-A-Bone".    Now what in the world is Bake A Bone?  I finally Googled it, and lo and behold, there is a machine that bakes doggie bones.  You can even buy the boxes of ready made "bone" mix.  I'll bet you could probably make kitty bones with this too!  The machine sells for $29.95 on TV.

Well now I'm going to grab me a cold bottle of water and take Pogo outside for a few minutes before it gets too hot.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Glad to hear that you are feeling much better and able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

The sun is hiding in my part of the world.....it's grey and gloomy and cold.

The yellow rose is such a happy looking flower.....love it!

Those roses are beautiful! All flowers have their own charm, but roses are still the most beautiful.

Woo-hoo for feeling better. A healthy Edna is a happy Edna and a happy Edna is happy friends!

Your roses are gorgeous! If my "weed roses" ever bloom again I'll take a photo so you can see why I have rose-envy.

If the bake-a-bone had been around when Missy, my collie when I was a kid in Michigan, was alive I would SO have had to have one to bake for her! It's very cute and such a loving idea. So, are you getting one so you can bake for Pogo?? ;)

Hugs, Nani
