"After The Rain" Freebie

June 9, 2013

Good morning on this gorgeous sunny morning.  There's an old saying "After the rain, the sun will shine."  And it surely does!  Yesterday afternoon turned out to be just lovely.  I was able to take a walk around the yard to assess the rain damage, and found very little.  Aside from lots of petals knocked to the ground, and several bushes and plants leaning down to the ground, that was about the size of it.  Not so bad at all.

Here's a few photos of some of my roses right after the rain.  Gosh, I just love photographing the raindrops.  Even hanging down, they are still beautiful.

An update on the woodchuck family - yesterday we caught the last three in the trap, one at a time.  So now everyone has been re-settled in a very nice wooded area down the road a ways.  I hope they have a happy life.

Last night I started back to work, and it turned out to be a really nice evening.  Mrs was in a good mood and we spent a couple of hours looking at photos on my laptop.  I only had internet access for a little while so I couldn't really catch up on my emails and blog reading.  Hopefully, it will stay on longer tonight.

I did make a new QP for you.  For this one, I used one of my new rose photos, a frame from Gimel, and a texture from Frostbo.  I hope you like it.  It's called "After The Rain".

And here's your download link:

There's not much news this morning.  I'm doing a load of laundry, my work clothes, and then when that is done it will be time to hop into bed for a bit of sleep.  I got to rest a bit last night, but did not get any winks.

Hopefully, this afternoon, I'll be able to take Pogo out in the yard to play for a while before it is time for me to go back to work.   So till tomorrow, stay safe, and Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Glad there wasn;t much damage after therain!
Because you like so much to photograph raindrops, I think you should plant in your garden the following one:

Take a look at this link, it's a great plant,(I have lots of them), and they look soooo marvellous after a rainshower! Plus they blook also.

It's nice that the Mrs. was in a good mood, makes the returning to work easier, hey?
Have a good rest today and fun with Pogo in the garden.

Thank you for the lovely QP, I, too, just adore the raindrops. Glad you feel well enough to return to work. We had rain showers on Sunday morning that was needed so desperately and it has helped a wee bit with the humidity, but that will cease after today. The forecast is supposed to be in the triple digits this week. SUMMER is already here!
Hope you got your rest and can spend some time with Pogo before work, have a great one and I will visit again later in the week!
Hugs, Mat

Only you could take rain damaged blooms and make something beautiful out of it. This says a lot about your wonderful outlook on life.
