The Cold Bug Has Caught Me

May 20, 2013

Good morning.  I won't be chatting much this morning.  I just got home from work and I want to head for my little bed.  I'm trying to fight off a cold, and it leaves me feeling rather yucky.  I do, however, want to post my offering for Mandarin Orange Monday.  This is from one of the quince bushes in the Mrs' yard.

The other thing that I want to share is this week's lesson at Digital Photography Plus, which is how to erase objects and power lines from your photos.   If you'd like to learn how to do this, come join us.   This is a great group of folks, and we'd love to have you.

The first photo is my original , and the second photo has the lines removed and is cropped.  Quite a difference.

Well folks, that's it for today.  This cold is getting me down, so I'm going to lay low today and hope it goes away.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Sorry you aren't feeling well, hopefully a little rest and a good long snooze will help solve the problem. Pogo will watch over you!
Love, love, love the orange flowers, so vibrant and pretty! Love the erasing of the power lines, will have to mosey on over the that site and check it out. Hope you feel better really soon. Many warm hugs, Mat

{{hugs}} Edna, feel better and shake that cold quickly!

Your disappearing power lines are wonderful! They taught us how to do that kind of thing in Graphics class, but I don't remember all of the steps.

Now, chicken soup time, my friend! Get some rest and feel better!

Hugs, Nani

Well, it's the end of the day here ... sure hope you are feeling better. I haven't had a cold, but am struggling with allergies ... maybe you are too. Hopefully not both ...

Love how you erased the wires ... I just don't seem to have the time to go for the lessons. Today I spent the day taking pictures of some of the things my friend is trying to sell. Good stuff to bring money in so she can get back on her feet after losing her husband. This is a hard time for her and I really want to help her any way I can. I am also still struggling with my Bamboo Tablet ... OMG, never in my wildest dreams did I imagin it would be so difficult to draw on a tablet. I am too old to try to learn to write and draw all over again. You probably would sit right down, dig in and have it mastered in no time. That's what I thought I was going to do, but no way ...

Anyway, great MOM picture, as always. You have some wonderfully orange flowers around you and a talent for making them MOM orange. It is fun, isn't it? Well, I am going to cut this short. Need to fix some dinner and take care of some things for my daughter. Hope you feel better soon ...

Sorry to read that you're not feeling well. I got a sick hubby coming home from work at the moment too....he just rang to say he was not feeling too good.

I just hope he doesn't share anything with me.

Go back to bed, keep warm and I'm sure you'll have that cold licked in no time

Hugs

Sorry you are not feeling all bright and shiny. I think what you did is the best to fight it, go to bed and sleep it off. Hope you are feeling better already!
Great tutorial about removing things from a photo! I must try that.
Have a good day!

I hope by now you are feeling better Edna.
The quince bush is so lovely - the petals seem so waxy and shiny. Lovely colour too!
Thank you for sharing it on Mandarin Orange Monday:)

And what magic you performed getting rid of those power lines.... i must come and find out how....
