Spring Is In The Air

April 8, 2013

Good morning.  Yesterday turned into a rather lazy day with lots of rest.  However, because of that, last night was not such a good night for sleeping.  Amazing though, how easy it is to fall asleep after 6 a.m.  Which is exactly what I did this morning.

Oh how good it felt to snooze away.  Until the phone rang.  And then I knew I had to get up.  Ah well, it was nice.

Now I'm sitting here typing, and watching a commercial on TV where there is a guy covered in paper money riding a motorcycle around the countryside.  As he rides along, the money flies off him and all over the roadway.   It's a car insurance ad telling of how they can save you lots of money.

Now tell me, how exactly does switching to this company help him save money?  Do they use a better glue to keep his money from tearing away from his body?   Gosh, I learn something new every day!

Okay, let's get right to the new collab kit for April, "Spring Is In The Air".   Every where you look, there are signs of new growth popping up.  So this will be a colorful, happy kit.  Here is my preview of Parts 1 & 2, and your download link
.

When you have finished, do stop over to Su's website and pick up her first two parts.  Take a moment to stop and say hello and  thank you.   Here is Su's preview.

A few minutes ago, a got my camera and went outside to take a few photos of some of the plants that are coming up in my little  gardens.  There are daffodils, lilies, irises, tulips and a few other things coming up green, along with lots of new buds of the rose trees and bushes.

Here are a couple photos to show how "Springy" it is beginning to look.

That second shot is my pink rose tree.  Another week of these warmer temps, and I think I'll be able to go out and trim back a couple of the rose bushes and the butterfly bushes.  I am so itching to play in the dirt!!

Well, son in law has finally shown up, and is going to be putting a new faucet set up on the kitchen sink.  It's time for me to get busy around here.  The dust bunnies are running amuk!  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I know that ad! Every time I see it I comment that I want his suit, gut with better glue. LOL Great minds thinking alike?? :)

My daffodils and narcissus are starting to bud too now that the weather is acting like it really wants to be spring. It looks like rain today, but then it's going to be a bit cooler for a day or two near the end of the week; at least that's the forecast for now.

The quick pages are lovely! The colors are spring-perfect this month!

I'm not so much itching to play with the dirt, but to get outside, maybe I'll get to pull some weeds!

Hugs, Nani

That ad was confusing to me also and didn't inspire a desire to sign up with them at all. Now, following the guy shedding money, that's something I'd do.

Ah yes, Spring. You are a bit ahead of us, but we are finally showing signs of it here too. My plants are just beginning to break through the ground ... no where near budding yet. We do have water on the lake and the Loons are calling and calling ... music to my ears.

You have been a busy little bee putting together your spring freebies ... nice job Edna, I don't know how you find the time.

As for the stupidity of the ad ... I don't know what they are thinking when they put something out there like that ... do they really think that we will be inspired to buy from them ... I mean, think about it. They are either not very smart or more likely they don't think we are ... hmmmm

I am with you, Edna. Really looking forward to being able to get outside and dig in the dirt. My gardening is my summer exercise program and I do need to exercise to get rid of my winter fat. There are a few jobs I don't look forward to, like cleaning under all of the bird feeders ... oh messy, messy. But planting and perking the place up is just fun. I am guessing we will be getting some awesome pictures from you in the summer from the sound of what you have in your garden. Do you grow any veggies? I don't ... wish I could, but I don't have enough room. I am behind on my posts this week because of being busy all weekend so I need to go do some PS work to get ready for tomorrow and for sure PAF. Sounds to me like things are going well with you ... Loves to Pogo from Izzi!

Yeah, I agree that a lot of the commercials on tv are completely crazy and uncomprehensible LOL.
Such a relief to see once in a while a rather good one, that has real humor in it too.
In our garden too things are starting to pop up, some of them are real surprizes, cause I don;t remember what they are, ROFL.
Still temps are fresh but they say we will reach the 50F at daytime. Not enough, but it;s a start.
You have a great day
Hugs
