Oh, But The Moon Was Simply Gorgeous!

April 28, 2013

Good morning.  The sun is shining, and it's going to be a fabulous day to be outdoors.  I'm having a bowl of Raisin Bran cereal with milk, and it tastes a lot like I'm chomping on dry clumps of grass with little lumps in it.  Of course, I know it's me because I really do like Raisin Bran.

I've been neglecting my "moon shots" lately.  However, last night as I was closing the Mrs' drapes (around midnight), I couldn't help but notice how gorgeous the moon was and how it lit up the sky around it.  So I stepped outside  the door for a minute and shot me a couple of photos.  Isn't this pretty?

I also have a pretty photo of one of the Mrs' pink tulips.  She had a whole bouquet, but this one was standing tall in the middle of the other flowers.

Yesterday aftertoon, Pogo and I went to the park for a while and I got a lot of cute photos of some of the ducks playing in the water.  Tonight I'll try to get some of the photos cropped and re-sized and post them here tomorrow.   We were looking to see if there were any baby ducks and geese, but so far there aren't any.  At least, we did not see any.

This morning, I also took a couple of photos of the new seedlings and leaves bursting forth one of  the trees in Mrs' front yard.  This is the color of Spring.

Well, I think it's time now for my nap.  As much as I'd like to be outside playing, my nap is necessary so that I can be back at work tonight.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a beautiful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

You are taking great pictures these days ... You have a little more "color of Spring" than we do, but I am seeing things coming up in my garden. I wish I could remember what all of them are, but that is the fun part of being old ... everything is new and a surprise :)

It is a little early for baby ducks and geese ... they are still in the Wooing stage around here. I haven't seen any nests built on the channel yet, but it won't be long. In fact, the way time flies ... it will seem like tomorrow.

Today I am going to spend some time with my friend and see if there is anything I can do to help her get through this terrible time. Sometimes just having someone to talk to helps, but I can also help her with her bird and around the house. She has so much to deal with ... I can't even imagine.

I'll bet Pogo is in 7th Heaven with the beautiful weather and walks in the park. Today is his BD party, right? Can't wait to see what you came up with for his cake. Anyway, Happy Birthday, Pogo ... Izzi and I are both happy that you found your wonderful Mom and a forever home.

I worked in the yard yesterday and fully expected to wake up in a state of aches and pains this morning. Surprisingly not ... now that's a first :_ Maybe I just didn't do enough work. I will be doing a little every day because it takes forever to get everything the way I want it. This year I have many yellow pee spots in my back yard (Thank you my wonderful irresponsible neighbors) which will be a problem to reseed because Izzi plays back there (She doesn't do her potty back there ... I walk her several times a day for that). So if I put new grass in she will be tearing it up with her rambunctious running and jumping. Not sure how I am going to handle it ... open to suggestions :) Well, I need to get going. Want to stop on my way to pick up some food and be there by noon. Will check in again tomorrow. Have a great day with Pogo ...

Lovely photos - so good to see spring coming.

Gorgeous photos as usual! Your full moon last night was fantastic!

We've had rain most of the day (my barometric joints don't like that!)

I love the colors of spring! I pretty much love all the seasonal colors except the brown of winter. We haven't had any appreciable white for a couple of years, but that's only pretty for about day to me.

Hope it's an uneventful, but not boring night at work!

Hugs, Nani

Happy Birthday to Pogo. I know he will have a wonderful day with you and his 'friends'.

Love the photos you posted especially the moon. It's been too overcast the last couple of nights for us to see the moon.

Our weather is starting to change....overcast, cool and damp. We should have some nicer weather later in the week.

Hope you have a restful nap and a good night at work.

Hugs
