Lots Of Photos To Share Today

February 2, 2013

Good morning.  It's 2:30 a.m., and I thought I'd post this blog before I crawl back into bed.  When I got to work yesterday morning, I realized that I had forgotten to pack my mouse, and therefore I could not use my laptop.  I have the touch pad shut off because I don't like using it.

I was able to read a couple of blogs on my tablet, but that was all.  Strange, it let me read a couple of them, but not all of them.  I'm just learning how to use the tablet.  There is so much more I can do with it once I learn how.  I did manage to put my Kindle books and Skype on the tablet.   Next I want to learn how to do photos on it. I'll take it and the manual with me when I go on vacation.

Thursday afternoon, I must have turned the wrong way at just the right time because I managed to pull a muscle or something.  Wow, did this ever hurt!  It wasn't quite so bad by Friday morning, and I had hopes that by moving around a lot at work that it would work itself out.  Not so!

It made working very uncomfortable, so I called for someone to come in early to relieve me.  I was able to leave for home at 1 p.m.  When I got home, I took a pill and went to bed.  Right now, it is about 80 % worked out.  So that is good.

While I was at work, I did manage to get some great shots to share with you.  Here is the moon at 8 a.m. yesterday.

Almost three hours later, I got some pretty photos of the sun playing hide and seek with the clouds.  The clouds kept moving, so the picture kept changing.  Here are a few of the better shots.

I think the idea of photography is to have fun with the things you photograph.  As you can tell from all the different things that I take photos of, I  certainly do have fun with my camera.

I missed working on the Photo Art Friday, but the up side is that Janet and I managed to get my tax stuff almost finished.  Remember the old commercial "Plop Plop, Fizz Fizz, Oh What A Relief It Is!"?  ( It was for Alka Seltzer)  Well that's how I felt when we finally stopped for the day.  A huge relief!

Last night, I was trying to catch up on my blog reading and Pogo curled up next to me and was snoring away.  When I see him like this, it tugs at my heart to know that he feels safe enough to fall into a deep sleep.  I am so lucky!

My eyelids are beginning to get heavy again so I think I'll crawl back into bed and get some more sleep.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Pogo looks so cuddly warm and content. You are blessed, as is he. I love his little hoodies ... can't wait to see what you will put on him in the summer ... he does need to remain fashionable, right?

I don't know what tablet you have. My SIL has an I-Pad and there seems to be no end to what it can do. She has funny filters on her camera and we spent some time taking pictures of my cats and Izzi and laughing hysterically at the results. I think I may have posted one of them at some point. Anyway, as you have fun with the photography, you should check out what features your tablet has on the pictures you take with it.

Have you iced your BooBoo? You know that is what you are supposed to do when you pull something ... it really does speed up the healing process and stops the pain a lot sooner. I don't know what you pulled so I don't know how easy it would be for you to ice it ... but if it is still hurting, you could still do it:)

We woke up to 4 inches of snow this morning (and it is still coming down). I had to dig out the bird feeders and clear a place on the ground for the ground feeders. They were happy to see me because they couldn't get to the food they need for keeping warm.

Izzi is in 7th heaven ... she loves the snow. She ran and ran after her Frisbees throwing snow up with her nose. The down side is, we went out with 5 Frisbees and came in with only 3 ... Hmmmm. You wouldn't think with only 4 inches of snow that they could get lost. I know where I threw them, but Izzi and I looked and looked and they are still buried somewhere in the yard. My Hubby is better at finding them (this happens every winter), so I will wait to see if he has any luck. One year we lost one that we didn't find until Spring, Ha!

I hope you have looked at next weeks PAF prompt ... it's a doozy! I have started several times and haven't got it right yet. Sometimes those creative juices just don't run. So anyway, I did some work on MOM so see if I couldn't clear my mind. I love these meme's ... but sometimes they consume me:)

Well, better get going. Izzi has class this morning and I am not dressed yet. Hope you are feeling better by the time you have to go back to work. Have a nice restful day, Edna ...

Precious Pogo, so very cute and cuddly looking, her is definitely the lucky one to find such a loving Mom to care for him!
Since we are already experiencing spring time weather (we hit 80F in January!) Guess it is a good thing that Punxsatawny Phil never saw his shadow.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a nice comment on my page. I appreciate it!
Glad you got all your stuff together for the tax man, I have an appointment next Tuesday to do mine! Hope I don't have to pay in this year!! (Have no deductions since my house and both vehicles are paid for)
Well, off here to do some housework, if I stay on top of it, It takes about half an hour and I need that exercise too! LOL!
Gotta run my "girls" off my bed so I can change it! LOL!
You and Pogo have a great weekend and hope your pulled muscles gets better so you can take some more FABULOUS photos!
Hugs, Mat

I hope that the muscle is feeling much better now. Ice and advil.....is the best but you have to be careful with the advil.
Pogo looks so cozy. Your pictures are just beautiful. Get some rest over the week-end if you can. We are getting snow and it is cold.

Ugh. Edna! Taxes; ugh! Pulled something; Ugh! Thanks heavens for Pogo! Pogo; AWWWW!!!

You had very active clouds! I love watching when they are moving quickly like that. I agree that cameras are for fun! I need to remember to take my camera with me when I go in for therapy next week. Most of my January scrapbook pages this year were cats! Not that pictures of the kids are bad things. :)

I don't know if the snow and cold snap we have today is headed for you or if it'll miss you, but you and Pogo keep comfy and warm!

Hugs, Nani

Oops, not good newsabout the twisted muscle! I hope it will be gone after you had some more sleep.
Would be great if the tax stuff is finished, it feels sooo godd. And hopefully you will receive some tax money back.
I have some hopes for that too, although our government is doind the utmost to diminish that as much as possible. But, may be we are lucky this year, who knows.
Already received another bill, from the water management stuff, and oh boy, they raised the price again! We can pay it in parts, which is better, but it's aweful gihg. The incomprehensible thing of it is, that the hight of it difference i different parts of Holland. Same with taxes to pay for having house, even renting an appartment isn't without it. But in every city/town it's different. And yes, we re lucky, hahahha, we are in one of the top 10 of highest contributions.
It's a lot of money, and together with costs of the water taxes, electricity bills and such, I think this year lots more people will come into financial trouble.
Well, as long as you don;t think about it, it doesn;t exist, they say LOL. Which is acting like an oistrich, but for a day or two that isn;t too bad. At least today I will not think about that and try to get some designing done. Tomorrow is another day.
Have a great day

Nice cloud photos and a very sweet one of Pogo. I'm thinking of getting a tablet for ease of taking it into places while on the road. This laptop works but is so honking big to haul around.
We found a cafe today for lunch that has a wi-fi hotspot.
