It's Fun To Be Creative

January 21, 2013

Good morning.  It's 5:45 a.m., and I'm at work.  It's been a pretty good night, but it will feel good to go home.  I want to thank everyone for your well wishes.  It's good to be back on my feet again.

The cold spell is back.  Brrrr.  Thank heavens it will be Spring pretty soon.  Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons.  The temps for these seasons are just right.  Not too hot and not too cold.  Perfect for folks like me.  Plus these are the seasons of birth and change in Nature.

Well, New England did not win yesterday, but congratulations to all you Raven and 49ers fans.  Good luck to you both at the Super Bowl.

Let me post my picture for Mandarin Orange Monday.  I used yesterdays finished photo, and colored it orange to give it a "sunset" glow.  I think it came out quite pretty.

Yesterday, Andrea asked me what I saw in this picture.  That's something I've never given a lot of thought to, but I tried it anyway.  Before I tell you what I see, would you leave me a comment and let me know if and what you see here?  That would be so appreciated, and it's fun too!

I have not heard from Su yet, so I don't her preview to post yet.   But I do have another freebie QP for you.  This will finish up my series of New Year QP's.  Hope you like it.

Here is your download link:

Once I finish this post, I will hop on over to Blogger (on IE) and make this link clickable.  Foxfire is nice because it lets me upload photos, but it does not let me make links clickable, and it doesn't let me change the color of some of the type.  At least it does the important stuff!

The Mrs is calling so I must get back to work here.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna. What do I see in that picture?? I see a "Promise" the old has gone and the new will surely come.
(The old leaves have blown away and new ones will return come spring).
Enjoy your blog immensely.
Hugs Elee.

Well, you already told me what you see ... my you have a prolific imagination. Very awesome. Actually all I saw was the three bears ... Momma, Poppa and baby bear. And they are large and over lapping in the center ... see if you can see them. I can see some of your things in the picture without the orange background ... harder to see in the new one :)

Like you, I am on the run today. Have to take my neighbor to the doctor and want to take Izzi out for a potty run before I leave. Will talk more later ... Have a great day Edna.

Thanks for the QP. As for the MOM I see a giant cat in the center with a long tail...don't you see it? LOL!
This looks great as a sunset photo and as a regular photo. Hope your Blogger is fixed soon as well, others are reporting same problems!
I watched both games and am happy with the results as I think it will be fun to have the brothers coaching opposing teams in the Super Bowl. Hope the weather stays semi nice for winter for ya! Have a terrific week ahead! hugs, Mat

It is good to see you back at it, again! I'm glad you are feeling better.

I am in the middle of getting my freebie up to post. The children have had a 4-day weekend, so, they are still home today. I have everything open working on it. It's just a matter of getting everything linked and posted.

The orange image looks like Blondie from the Dagwood and Blondie cartoon series in the newspaper's funnies.

Have a sweet, warm day!

I love that image! I see death in the leafless tree but with the promise of life and power behind it. Orange is the color of self-confidence and happiness.

Glad you're doing better, Edna! My niece and I are entertaining each other for a long weekend, so I have a few more posts to read!

hugs, Nani

It is so beautiful, Edna. I looked to see what might be in those twisted limbs and could see a newborn baby shape, except it had a pointy nose like a dog. I'm sure some more insightful will find some truly wonderful items there. The colors are fantastic.

Edna I think it turned out more than "quite pretty". It is beautiful! The orange variations behind the complex web of branches is really interesting. Thank you for sharing it Mandarin Orange Monday:)
(I am glad you are feeling better now...)

What a lovely, inspiring photo. Orange is to me a spiritual color depicting life and laughter and affirming all is right with the world, so to me this is nature praising the Lord.
