Happy New Year 2013

January 1, 2013

Happy New Year everyone.  Did you get to watch the ball drop in Times Square?  How about the fireworks?  Weren't they  great?   I finally shut the TV off around 12:30 a.m. and succumbed to some very welcome sleep.

Before the festivities though, I put together another texture freebie for you.  This one is made from a photo of flower petals.  I hope you can use it.

And here is your download link:

Ever wonder why I number the textures instead of naming them like other designers do?  Well, it's because I just can't always think of an appropriate name for them.  So I leave them with the image number.  It works for me.

I also have an early morning photo to share.  This one was taken on December 26, 2012 shortly before daybreak.  I'm not sure which planet we are looking at, but it might be Venus.  I will have to do some research online.

Does this look familiar?  I took another very similar photo one early morning back on November 25, 2012.  In almost the same spot too!  Remember this one?

Last night, I decided against the Chinese take out for supper.  Instead, Joe had cooked some chicken for Pogo, and I made do with whatever I found in the freezer.  (It wasn't very hard, my freezer is always well stocked.)

I had a wonderful chat with Su yesterday, and once again she taught some new things about Photoshop 6.  Su will be putting up some new tutorials pretty soon, and will most likely start posting her parts to "A Child's Christmas" by next Monday.   I will make some new freebies to post on those days when she is posting kit links.

Now I think I'm going to try to catch a few more winks.  It's still early, only 5:15 a.m.  So, till tomorrow, I'm wishing all of you a Very Happy New Year.  Y'all have a wonderful day now.

Hugs, Edna B.

Happy 2013 Miss Edna and Pogo! I did get to watch the ball drop and fireworks as I have a friend in Youngstown, OH that called to say we were in different years (time zone thingy)! She chatted until I was in the same year! LOL! I think I finally went to sleep about 1:30 a.m. The girls were angry that their feeding time was about an hour late! O well, they will just have to get over it! LOL! The things we do for our 4 legged babies!!
Thanks so much for the texture, it is lovely and the update on Su! Hope things will go better for her in 2013!
The photo is terrific as they all are! Thanks for dropping by and leaving me a note! Appreciate it! Guess I will get my black eyed peas and ham on and get a pan of cornbread made, then fix some cabbage and I should be able to start the New Year out right! LOL! 13 is my lucky number, so let's see where it leads!!
Have a great day, a great year and hugs to both of you! Mat

Happy new year. We went to bed before the ball dropped but the grandkids watched it through, so we're starting out the day with a couple of tired young uns. We only get to keep them until Thursday morning and then it's back to the snowy Minnesota weather for them.

Happy New Year Edna and Pogo!!! Hope the two of you have a wonderful year.

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow and Friday with temps in the low 40's. we have a bit of a reprieve over the weekend and then the 40's are back Monday and Tuesday. Ugh!

Keep warm, has your snow all gone?

Hugs Judy xx

I guess everything is relative ... Agravette is upset that her temps are in the 40's ... Hello! We barely made 20 here today. Where are you so I can come visit :)

Your New Years Eve sounds layed back ... just the way we like it. We sit in our easy chairs and watch the festivities and munch on some treats. Very relaxing even as we watch the New York Ball drop ... We enjoyed the tribute to Dick Clark, but realized how old we are getting by the fact that all of the performers were kids ... I mean really. No oldie, but goodies? Well, I take that back, they did have Aerosmith. Anyway, I was in bed by 11:30 because New York's midnight works for me:)

Today has been a lazy day for me. I have been laying low because I have a cold ... or maybe just a bad cough that I am trying to get rid of. My immune system is ususally pretty good with throwing things off, but this cough is hanging on. Don't want to let it develope into something I can't deal with.

So Edna, we are headed into a new year together ... I am excited about our prospects. We love the blogging and enjoy each other's company and our babies (Izzi and Pogo) have hit it off as well. Thanks for the New Years gift of a new texture. Looks awesome so I will be looking for ways to put it to use. I am hoping we have a great year with fun and laughter and continued sharing. Be well on day one of 2013 ...
