Go Patriots!

January 20, 2013

Good morning.   It's nice today, 44 degrees and heading for 48 degrees.  It's also quite windy.  Sad to say, the cold temps are headed back this way starting tonight along with snow showers for a couple of days.   Brrr.

I've been busy this morning playing in Photoshop.  I finished a couple of new QP's, and started on the February collab kit.  In between working on these, I made a big pot of corn chowder.  Yum!  I fed Pogo his breakfast, doggie food, and wonder of wonders, he ate half of it!  Of course, then he went out into the house and barked at Joe for his meat treat.  Today it was a bit of turkey.  My Pogo's a smart boy!

I dug out a photo that I took last April and cropped it.  Then I took in to Color Efex Pro 4, and applied the Detail Extractor and Tonal Contrast filters.  It's rather interesting, I think.

I'm hoping this photo is centered here.  I'm still using Firefox to upload photos, and today it seems to be playing games.  Ah well, if you can't lick 'em, join 'em.  I sure hope Blogger gets things fixed soon.

Yesterday I was out to do a bit of food shopping, and it felt pretty good.  I was getting pretty low on a lot of basics and doggie food.  They had German Bologna on sale for 99 cents a pound.  Wow, now that's a bargain!  Actually, all the deli meats were on sale, so I got a little of this and a little of that.  I'm all set now for a while.

For all you football fans, I hope your team wins today.  Of course, I hope one of those winning teams is the New England Patriots.  That's it for the news today.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I'm hoping Blogger gets it fixed also, I've been putting what I want to post into Picasa and it's okay, but adds an extra step. Oh well, I guess if that's the worse thing that happens to me I'm okay.

When I see a picture like this, I start looking for things in it ... and I found several. Do you see anything in it? I won't tell you mine until you have looked or you will only see what I see :)

So, it does sound like you are doing pretty well. Glad to hear you were out and about ... but heed my warning, don't over do.

I could live on lunch meat, though most of it is full of preservatives and salt. If I can find the natural, untainted kind, I buy it. It always tastes good and the best part is that it is easy to prepare. Slap it on some bread (or in my case, I like to make lettuce wraps) and be done with it:)

I went to Obsidian Dawn to download some brushes. I followed their instructions and ended up with something called FLV Runners Toolbar ... and now my computer has been changed and I can't get to the brushes under Adobe/ Photoshop. And I can't find the brushes I downloaded so I am a little dumbfounded ... don't know what to do about it. I sent them an e-mail asking, but haven't heard anything back. Always something, right? I don't have any Guru's I can call on ... my son does most of my trouble shooting, but he knows nothing about photoshop, so I am stuck. I will just wait to see what they say ...

We are in the middle of the cold that you are about to get. It is cheek burning cold. I manage to keep everythink else covered, but can't seem to keep the cheeks out of the wind (I am talking about my face, but the way:)

Tomorrow is the inauguration and I will probably miss most of it because I have to take my neighbor to the doctor. I am sure there will be plenty of coverage I can catch up on later in the day. Hopefully it will go well.

This is going to be a busy week for me. I need to get things done around here so I am free to go to my bird programs Thursday through Sunday. I will be coming home at night, but the program doesn't end until 9PM, so it will be close to eleven before I get home. I am sure Hubby isn't going to love it, but it doesn't happen too often, so he will tolerate it. Better get my act together. Izzi is ringing her bell, so I better take her out ... in that awful cold BRRRRRRR! Be well, Edna

You sound a lot better than in past week.
Pogo is smart, but at least he ate some of his dogfood.
Then it isn't that bad he gets a bit of turkey or something else, as a kind of reward. Perhaps that's the way to treat him, so he knows he first has to eat some of his dogfood before he gets any treats LOL.
We still have snow here, glad i don;t have to go out today!
Going to post now so bye bye
Have a lovely day
Hugs
