"Pass The Stuffing Please"

November 12, 2012

Good morning.  It's six a.m. and the fog outside is so thick that you can just about see the other side of the side.  I just went out and took a photo to share.  I'm hoping that it burns off soon before I leave work.

Today is also Mandarin Orange Monday and I have a pretty orange photo to post.  This is another photo that I took using my macro converter.   It's a reject photo, but the softness of it struck me as being so pretty.  Sort of mystical looking.  With a little work, it has possibilities of becoming a nice bit of photo art.

Today Su and I will post Parts 1 & 2 of our November collab kit, "Pass The Stuffing Please".  There should be a little something here for everyone to scrap their Thanksgiving and Autumn photos.  Today we give you the Quick Pages, and the next two weeks will bring you the papers and elements.  We hope you like it.  Here's my preview:

Here's Su's preview.  Later this morning, stop by Su's website and pick up her Parts 1 & 2.  Please take a moment to stop and say thank you.  It really is so appreciated.

I have a bit to do today.  A friend whom I haven't seen in more than twenty years is coming for a visit tomorrow.   We keep in touch but it will be so nice to actually sit and visit with her.  So today I will have to evict a few of my dust bunnies.  They won't like it, but I must do what I must do.  lol.

I've finally decided to look into hiring someone to come in and help with the housework.  I will have to see what it costs, what I can afford, and how often I can have it done.  I don't really like strangers snooping in my house, but it takes too much of my breath to do the work myself.

Now it's time to check on the Mrs and start packing up my things to go home.  The fog outside is beginning to clear a bit, so the driving will be okay.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

What a photo of the fog. Beautiful, would be wonderful in a winter setting for a great Christmas card!

Your artistic eye is wise ... the "reject" photo is beautiful and has great potential. Be interested in seeing what you could do with it.

How fun is it that you have a friend that you haven't seen for 20 years coming. You will have so much to talk about and laugh about ... I am happy for you.

I agree, fog is beautiful until you have to drive in it. We drove though the mountains in Tennessee when the fog was so thick we could hardly see the tail lights of the car in front of us. And we knew he couldn't see either so where was he leading us ... a nightmare memory.

I'm with you ... great idea to have someone come in and help with the cleaning. They won't be able to do much snooping as long as you are there. And you deserve the break, you work hard. I know it is expensive. My husband and I shutter every time we look into getting outside help for something. There are some things that we just can't do anymore. My son does most of it, but he works hard and doesn't always have time, so, for his sake as well as ours we have had to bite the bullet. There are a few disadvantages to getting old ... but not many :)

You have a great day Edna. Will probably see you tomorrow ...

I love the fog photo, there's something very calming about fog.
Good luck with the cleaning person thing - I've tried it several times at the request of my husband, mostly so he wouldn't feel guilty for not helping me, anad I did not care for the experience. But I know many who love it and would not give up their cleaning person for anything.

Giid idea to have someone to help with the housework. In the beginning you should be there, of course, but if you are a bit lucky, you will have have someone trustworthy, and can be left alone in the house.
At my parents house, years ago, we had a lovely lady coming for the housework to help, and that was a diamond! She worked so well, was sweet and nice, and she was given after some time even a key, and all was well. So even if we were away, we knew she would come, do what was necessary without having to worry about it. But I agree, that is rare!
But.... give it a try, it surely will make life easier for you.
Have a great day

I love your orangey/yellow/red photo and your misty scene too. Happy Mellow Yellow Monday.

Your orange image is beautiful photo art. I like the way the light gives it a translucent quality - and the soft gradations of colour. Also the way the texture is different on some of the shapes across the middle. Thank you Edna for sharing it on Mandarin Orange Monday:)
