A Fabulous Visit With A Friend

November 16, 2012

Good morning.  I'm at work so I won't be able to chat for very long.  Mrs is asleep but will be waking soon.  I'm not sure what the weather is going to do yet.  On my way to work, the sky was filled with some gorgeous colors, but they disappeared in just a minute or two.  At the moment, the sky is a bit gray.

Yesterday, my friend came to visit and we had a wonderful gabfest, catching up on a lot of years worth of news.  She brought her dog, Zoe, so Pogo had a really nice visit too.  Today, Pogo is here with me because the sitter has to work today.

It's just as well that he is with me because I have to stop at the bank on my way home this afternoon, and everyone at the bank loves it when I bring him in with me.  Of course, Pogo enjoys all the extra attention too.

I have a pretty photo of one of the Mrs' roses that is still hanging on.  Later, I'll have to take a few photos of my roses that are still blooming.  This rose should brighten up your morning.

I did not get to work on my calendar last night because I fell asleep.  Luckily, I woke up in time to watch one of my favorite TV programs, "Project Runway All Stars".    After that, it was back to sleep until about 2:45 a.m. when Pogo wanted to go out.  After going outside at that hour, there was no getting back to sleep.

Now I really must get busy here.  The Mrs is calling for her breakfast.  Pogo is looking for his breakfast too.  And, as I look up, I can see the sky getting brighter, so it's probably going to be a nice sunny day.  That's all for now.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Visiting with friends is just the best therapy ever...there is no substitute for it. I'm happy for you to have had that opportunity.

We have blue skies and it appears sunny and warm today.

You have a good day today!

The rose definitely made me smile! Still catching up on all my reading; I saw you mention your cold, but not that it finally let you go. Are you feeling better from it?

If Pogo is starting to use the Wee Pads, even once in a while, he's learning, it's a good thing!

I loved that cartoon with the pilgrims and turkey chasing Christmas. Thanksgiving was always one of my favorite holidays because the family still got together, even as an adult, where Christmas had become so hectic with trying to see family from everyone's "both sides" that no one was in any one place at the same time. I get cranky trying to find a turkey decoration under all the Santas.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit with your friend! I love when I get together with friends I haven't seen in years and it's still as comfortable as it was when we saw each other all the time. I truly do treasure my time with my friends in Michigan that I don't see as often too.

Have a wonderful rest of the day!
Hugs, Nani

You must be doing something right if your roses are still blooming. House plants are another story ... someday when I have time, I'll tell you have I killed an artificial house plant, oh my!

Great to get together with old friend and remember all the fun times you had together way back when. At my age it takes two brains to remember it all. I love it that Pogo is so generous with visiting dogs. My Izzi is an Aussie and you have to be in her herd for her to be nice to you. That takes a while and if it is a short visit, it doesn't usually happen. She is wonderful and loving to any person or animal she is familier with ... but otherwise, she is a watch dog protecting her heard and she takes that very seriously.

We are having a stretch of reasonable days ... in the middle to high 40's and some sunshine. I don't mind cold when the sun is out,it's the gray days of winter that gets everyone down. But, only 18 weeks until spring ... Hey, I can deal with that. Hope you have a nice weekend planned for yourself. I am off to a 50 year wedding anniversary party ... should be fun:). Be well, Edna ... I am hoping your cold has gone away by now.
