Sneak Peek At My November Entries

October 5, 2012

Ah, good morning.  Today is supposed to a fabulous day, sunny and in the high 70's.  I can dig that!  In just two days, the temperature is supposed to be dropping about twenty degrees and stay that way for a while.  Now I don't know about you, but to me that seems like an awfully big big drop.  Brrr.

I had a wonderful stroke of luck with some of my photos.  Yesterday, I called the company that did my printing to ask if maybe they kept my any of my originals on file.  Woo Hoo!  They said "yes, they did" and "they would be glad to email them to me".     How's that for a stroke of lucky!

So, today I shall go out and get a couple of quick prints, mats and backing boards.  Because of the upcoming holiday, I can't get my prints through the mail.  They wouldn't be back in time for the entry deadline next Tuesday night at Camera Club.   I made up a preview to show you what I am planning on entering for the November competition.

These are two photos that I've posted before.  Each member of the club can enter two photos.  One in each of two of the five categories.  I've chosen Nature and Creative.  Here's my preview.

Next  Tuesday, I'll find out if anyone liked my October entry.   Meanwhile, I've definitely decided that my photography field is basically (mostly) nature in all it's forms.  Now I just have to figure out the What Type, Why, and How.  That's going to take me a while.  Kyra says it's because I find so much beauty in the nature around me.  She's right.  I just have to figure out how to put in the right words for the brochure.

Now I think I'll have me another cup of coffee and get dressed.  Pogo and I want to spend some time outside today while the weather is nice.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

These are so pretty Edna and am happy for your great stroke of luck on finding some of what you thought you lost! Weather sounds nice, we are to have a 30 degree drop starting tonight and not to get out of the middle 50's tomorrow. Very unlike Texas weather! You and Pogo enjoy the time together! Hugs!! Mat

You have such a good eye and your pictures are so clear and bright. I love your blackbirds (curious as to how you did that) as well. You should do well in the contest.

Your project sounds like quite a challenge. Thank goodness you were able to recover so many of your pictures. I think I told you that I found a group of mine that way and they did send them. There are still a lot of them that are just gone, sadly.

Our weather has been in the thirties at night and 50's by day for that last few days. I have my potted plants in the garage in hopes of saving them at least through Halloween ... yes, can you believe Halloween is coming up. When you get my age the time passes so quickly, it's scary. Well, have a wonderful weekend Edna

Our camera club seems to be drawn towards the nature photography also. Perhaps this is inherent of those of us who see things through a lens.
