Pogo Goes To The Beauty Salon

October 18, 2012

Good morning.  This will have to be a short post because we have to leave soon for Pogo's appointment at the beauty salon.  This should be quite interesting, and I would not want to be the groomer.  Pogo is very squirmy and does not like to be touched with clippers or scissors.

After trying to program my new GPS, I gave up  and called Eddie (son in law) to ask if he could come with us this morning.  I'm not really sure about how to get to the groomers.  I bought my new GPS refurbished, and did not realized that the previous owner's information would still be in the machine.  It does not let me program it for my information.

I emailed the manufacturer with my problem, and they will hopefully get back to me today.  They said they had to wait three days after notifying the previous owner about removing his information from the GPS.  This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard!  They should have made sure all the information was removed before re-selling the product.

I have to say though, it wouldn't be right if my toys behaved properly, now would it?  As much as I love all the new tecky toys, they don't seem to like me.  Even my new phone doesn't work here at home or when I go to work.  I'm kind of getting used to it.  The GPS on my phone worked great the first time I tried to use it, but after that it won't even turn on.

On a lighter note, here are a couple of photos of Pogo in his car seat when we are getting ready to go for a ride.  He loves the car seat, and is especially fond of going for rides.  You can see this in the second photo where he is howling for joy,  lol.

My daughter called to say that if anyone wants the Pet Ghost, and can't get it in there area, let us know.  She can pick it up and we'll mail it to you.  It cost $10. As of last night, there were still six or seven left on the store shelf.

Now it's time for me to get dressed and ready to leave.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Pogo doesn't look like he needs to go to the beauty parlor ... he is adorable as is. I suppose cleaning ears and cutting nails is worth the trip. I love the pictures. You are getting to be quite the photographer! You always were good at it, but lately you have pulled off some awesome shots. I think taking a course or two and maybe even the camera club have paid off for you (though I have second thoughts about your camera club at this point).

I thought "refurbished" meant that it hadn't been sold in the regular outlet in a specified amount of time so it is taken back to the factory checked and then sent to the outlet stores. At least that is what we are being told ... if it is used by someone else before, they should tell you that. And then, if they checked it out they should have removed all of the old owners stuff ... that is a violation of his privacy and turns out to be a pain for you. Sorry! I do agree that our generation isn't very adept at the new techy stuff. I always have to call my son or my 16 year old granddaughter to get things working right. My neighbor cleans out my phone for me whenever we go out for coffee, otherwise I would run out of space. I thought technology was supposed to make our lives easier... hmmmmm!

We are back to rain and cold again today. I still need a few warm days so I can finish cleaning out my gardens. I cut down and dug up my Cana tubors yesterday and today my muscles are paying the price. So maybe the rain will give me time to get back in shape before I start at it again. Anyway, out weather seems to head out your way, so you know what you have to look forward to :0

Izzi is ringing her "outside" bell. Best go take her out in case it is more than a "I want to play Frisbee" bell. I can't tell the difference and she knows it ... hmmmm again. You have a great day Edna and I will be looking forward to some post beauty parlor pictures of Pogo :)

I wonder how he will react when you go with him to the groomer? Pets seem to feel what is going to happen to them, and is he doesn;t like too much the 'hairdresser"he might howl again, but in a different way! LOL.
You aren't lucky with your teckie toys, isn;t it? Well, I sometimes have the same problem. Oh well, we will get used to it some day.
You have a great day

Hopefully Pogo and the groomer will make friends and Pogo will realize how much he will enjoy a trip to be beautiful again...LOL! He is simply adorable as he is, but a little shaggy doesn't hurt. Love the howling photo...he is such a cutie! Good luck with the GPS fix! Have a terrific day, waiting to see the results. Hugs, Mat
